Wonderful spot. Great service. Terrific food. We are visiting Pernes les Fontaines for 2 weeks and thought a seafood meal would be delightful. We were a party of 6 and elected the seafood platter for 6. What a treat. We started with a lovely 2009 vintage champagne recommended by our hostess. On to the soup, paired (perfectly) with a white Cotes du Rhone (also recommended by our hostess). For the seafood platter (including shrimp in various forms -the blue shrimp was Devine - oysters, clams, mussels and whelks), a white Chateauneuf du Pape was recommended and was sublime. There was ample food and we had no room for dessert. Our hostess was attentive, helpful and courteous. Few people in town speak English, but we got by just fine. Highly recommended. Tout est dit dans le titre....Nous n'avions qu'1 heure et demi pour un repas entre collègues, et nous avons eu le temps de passer un moment agréable !Le choix entre 3 plats du jour pour 9,50⬠était tout à fait correct...Nous reviendrons certainement pour tester la terrasse, à mon avis assez agréable au printemps !

Le Relais des Dentelles is not the quintessential Provencal restaurant. Meaning, it's not on a terrace surrounded by trees overlooking a valley of grapes. BUT don't walk by! Skip the pretentious restaurants, sit in the courtyard and be prepared for a great meal. And by great I mean: Food, presentation, service that's relaxed but attentive, and portions that are big enough to leave you feeling satiated. Tonight I had a homemade tagliatelle with a very light pesto sauce, a delicious salad, and pear tatin which melted in my mouth. My husband had the duck, cooked to perfection, an asparagus appetizer before finishing with a fantastic creme brulee. I told the chef, Jean Pierre, that we loved everything including the bread he made and he invited me to come by the kitchen window after our dinner so he could share his bread recipe with me. There are a lot of smoke and mirrors with the "gastronomic" restaurants in this part of France. Some are worth the money, others leave you feeling hungry and a bit insulted. For a great meal, you can't beat this place. We've already been twice!

This restaurant has one Michelin star and easily deserves another. The perfect culinary experience in an idyllic settingin the suburbs of Avignon. The outdoor garden shaded by a magnificent Weeping Willow (hence the name of the restaurant) is the perfect location for a summer lunch. And with lunch menus in the range of ⬠35- â¬45 it's a definite steal! I have never eaten such high quality food at this price range... But then again I am from NY...

Very pleasant, atmospheric and unpretentious place. I had a chicken and raisin tajine...served piping hot. Generous amount of chicken in a lovely sauce...raisins, almonds, citrus, onions and spices. My partner had the deluxe coucous royale ..chicken, merguez, kofta, with a flavourful sauce and ample couscous, and a half bottle of Moroccan wine. The welcoming owner brought us a plate of mixed Moroccan pastries and sweet mint tea at the end of the meal. Recommended!

Had a fantastic lunch here last week - the room is airy and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Amuse bouche of pea and mint pana cotta, starter of smoked duck and goat's cheese filo pastry parcel, main course was duck leg (very hearty portion but beautifully cooked, presented and garnished) with local vegetables, then a plate of local cheeses. As I was driving I had artisan lemonade which was equally delicious - the wine list looked tempting (both from the vineyard and also the restaurant's own blend). I had to be physically restrained from buying the blue glass water bottles etched with the restaurant's logo! Can't wait for the summer when we can go back...

This young couple continue to improve, year after year. Everything is beautifully presented and full of flavour, often with unexpected combinations which really work. I forgot to mention that we were vegetarians when I booked this time, but they very kindly pulled out all the stops to provide a wonderful lunch for us. This sort of customer service is rare, especially in Provence. The menu is different every time, so it's a new discovery. Some of the wines seem rather overpriced to me, but there are some reasonable ones. Otherwise, I would recommend this restaurant very highly.

We had a dinner recently with a friend ->restaurant-critic and we all enjoyed the dinner, the presentation and the wine list. Even though Pascal is very shy with spices which makes the taste a bit weak, but also original to its produce. Great homemade pasta and easily the best pizza we had in France. Brilliant value too. The proprietor is very friendly and clearly an excellent chef. As mentioned in previous reviews this is a small restaurant and can get full quickly, so book ahead or pop into town for an aperitif until a table becomes available. Highly recommended!
