Nice restaurant in the pedestrian area with a small outdoor area heated by lamps. The staff is nice, the food super and well presented. We had vitel tonnee, veal with tuna sauce typical Piedmontese, and gnocchi with pink trout, a very interesting and unusual combination; then we shared Rossini filet and lamb with thyme, both meats really tender and juicy. The chocolate soufflé was excellent too. Portions are middle size, as you expect in a fine restaurant. The price is on the high side. They have wine by the glass or also half bottles. They take credit cards.

From the town it looks almost a vertical bucket lift 3100ft up the side of a mountain. In reality it's not that steep but perhaps not for those with a fear of heights. A lovely, peaceful ride up with stunning views, well worth â¬10 for the return fare. Can't comment on the catering at the top as a storm was closing in and we beat a hasty retreat back down! You're sitting by Lake Maggiore, a cold, crisp white wine in your hand, eating great pasta. What's wrong with this picture? Absolutely nothing. Pure decadence. Try the strozzapreti ragu lago pasta. A sauce to die for. Add great service and a view of Isola Madre, and, hey, you have a perfect lunch. 41 euros for 2 pasta dishes, 2 glasses of wine, a bottle of water and 2 coffees; not super cheap, but well worth it.

You don't expect to find a michelin star restaurant tucked away in Laveno that matches any large city restaurant. There is flexibility in the menu as well, you can choice the number of courses that you want and can do the matching wines - which I would highly recommend. The staff are all polite, provide exceptional service and are very knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

I've been there twice. It's all home made family cooking, traditional style, family feel. Make sure to book in advance, and perhaps even order because everything it's made on the spot, and that takes time.

I had the pleasure to be at Locanda Pozzetto several times. They were always good, the food excellent, however this time they went beyond any expectation!Despite they had few problems with some staff not showing up at work that day...we confirmed our reservation. The lady (I assume the owner) who attended on us was basically taking care on her own alone of all tables. Therefore we all were ready to spend some patience and wait...unexpectedly the service turned to be excellent, even better than usual, I thought! Not much to comment about the food: each and every bite was divine, ingredients are among the very best I've ever tasted in my life and the chef really knows how to achieve the best out of those. Servings are very generous and, surprise, prices very very very very very very honest!Locanda deserves to be visited also because of the fantastic location and the stunning view! A kinda Michelin starred restaurant where they know how to treat genuine ingredients and guests...A must try!

I've been here with my gf. We had a menu with one entry, a pasta duet to (two types of pasta in a dish) and a main course to choose fish of meat, coffee and dessert and wine (bottle) included for 30⬠each. Everything was local and fresh, not particularly tasty, but it's because the ingredients do not help, for example the fish, pike perch, it doesn't have an intense flavour. Nice restaurant, to visit.
