Well off the beaten track down a dusty lane and beneath a fantastic railway viaduct is a hidden gem of a restaurant.We were the first arrivals of the evening and what a pleasant surprise awaited us.A true family restaurant, with staff who welcomed our two year old and a children's playground discretely hidden away to occupy him for a while.We did not sit outside but that was an option, our main course of meat was however cooked over the barbeque outside.Excellent food complemented by wonderful friendly service and a most delightful evening.Testimony to the quality of the restaurant is that by the time we left it was two thirds full with locals including a large birthday gathering. If it pleases them then it's a must next time we are in the area.

Great presentation and extremely tasty food. Wonderful setting and fully deserving of all the rave reviews it has got.Visited mid July and the only downside are the gnats and midges that dine on the diners. But donât let that put you off - wonderful experience.

A bit off the beaten track, and out of season, but fabulous Sicilian hospitality - from the 11 (!) different antipasti, to the penne fennel pepper dish, to the fish. And the bay leaf/fennel home brew digestif. Not pretentious, not expensive, just sincere, honest and really good home cooking.
