This place was amazing. Cozy little place nearby the beach. This is far from a tourist place, which we loved. Our waitress worked with us on translating the menu because we speak english and she spoke Italian. We had some fresh seafood, which was quiet refreshing. The prices we awesome. We paid 12 ⬠for an amazing bottle of wine, 10⬠for a fresh fish sandwich and 14⬠for some shrimp alfredo type pasta.

I enjoyed going to this restaurant with my boyfriend. The food and drinks were awesome and the ladies were super nice and friendly! The menu was explained to us as it was all in Italian, thus we could really make a 'right' choice Highly recommended!

Di martedì mi sono trovato sempre di fronte ad una tavola calda dall'ampia scelta ma senza quegli "acuti" che me l'hanno fatta apprezzare nelle altre occasioni...intendiamoci, qui si mangia sempre bene, ma alle 14 il cous-cous alle verdure era già finito, e tra i primi scelta tra pasta&fagioli ed amatriciana, comunque buona, nessun piatto di pesce, la solita questione del vino con un solo bianco ed un solo rosso, tenuto un po' alla spagnola in frigo, che questa simpatica famiglia di astemi giustifica per il voler mantenere i costi contenuti (?)... servizio da tavola calda, costi vantaggiosi: fatti gli appunti, questo è comunque un posto da frequentare, intendiamoci! Come lo dimostra ampiamente l'afflusso di gente, e molti gli habitués...Ora aperto anche la domenica e a cena.

I missed my flight out of Marco Polo and was put on a 6am flight the next morning. Rather than trek back to Rome, I looked for options near the airport and found Agrisesto. The B&B is homey and charming, the room was large, clean, spacious, with modern linens. They also have a restaurant onsite which was excellent and reasonably priced. Fresh foccacia and fettucine with mushroom and cream was delicious! Lamb skewers were ok. Staff was very responsive and helpful, and 15 minutes by car from the airport.

Just had a memorably good lunch at Controvento -- which went to completely by chance while spending the day just up the coast at the dog-friendly Bau Beach -- it is about a ten minute walk from there and you can take your dog for lunch, although it must be on a leash for the walk there.Highlight of lunch was a superb carpaccio of ombrina -- a firm, white fish I had never had before -- and for which I don't know the English translation. It was served with pomegranate seeds and spicy little bean sprouts & seasoned with sea salt -- really interesting, tasty and fantastically well-executed.Followed that with deep-fried baby octopus (another starter) -- which was pretty much perfect.Place is also distinguished by a great-looking wine list which is well selected on evidence of the lovely bottle of pecorino we had.Prices are a little higher than most other beachfront restaurants near Rome but worth the small extra amount.At tables around us, there were some grumbles about dishes not coming quickly enough, or the wrong stuff arriving. From what I could see, staff dealt with those very professionally. We were sort of left hanging around when we first arrived but the manager, who was having his own lunch, spotted us, jumped up and sorted us out -- seems like a pretty well-run place.

The pictures from this restaurant does not correspond with reality. VERY long wait to be seated, unattentive staff. Food is ok but no more. Ordered a grilled fish (see picture) and payed 36 Euro only for that. Vegetables charged apart. The guests beside our table got wrong wine, wrong food and left witout paying....

The good: nice restaurant, nicely decorated (beach style but still classy), beautiful view, excellent service (the waiter is ready to accommodate you in any way), top notch food. Coffee made with a Moka pot.The so-so: the wine (suggested by the waiter) gave us a headache (we only ordered a glass).

I had lunch at HandMade with some friends today.The restaurant is nicely decorated and furnished, staff is friendly and welcoming.Dishes were delicious, well prepared with high quality ingredients. Menus, we've been told, change weekly according to market availabilty. Desserts are also all home made and all delicious.This place clearly stands out from the usual seaside restaurants in the area. Highly recommended.
