Really? You order a beer and nothing arrives after 20 minutes? The waiter just sits there ignoring everyone? How very rude. We left. Went 20 yards to the President. That was the other end of the spectrum.

Was looking for the winery passopisciaro and discovered the restaurant Borgo Santo Spirito nearly out of nowhere. On the small "road" Via Santo Spirito, at the end was this well situated restaurant besides there own wineyard and beside Passopisciaro wineyards. Beautifull placed in the middle of wineyards we had a very tastefull antipasti lunch with the wine from own produktion. Good food, Good wine, Good service and Good surroundings. What a fantastic surprise! We booked a table at this restaurant for lunch during a day spent exploring this side of Mount Etna. The food was excellent and so the service, they offer a wide range of Etna wines, we had a Riina by Girolamo Russo, an excellent red wine perfect with my selection of cold cuts and cheeses as well as to accompany my lamb with potatoes. Great service and ambiance.

My husband and I travelled to Castiglione di sicilia in April 2013 and were taken to this great place for dinner.We ordered quite a ferw pizzas and they all were fantastic. I loved this place and would definitely go back there if I was ever in Sicily again.The staff were all very friendly and it had a great feel to it. I crave their sausage pizza on many occasions.Loved it and would recommend it highly to anyone in the vicinity.

Run by Fabio & Carmelita, this was recommended to us by the hotel where we were staying. Didn't quite match up to our expectations food wise, though it was reasonably priced. A wide selection of wines is available, including some interesting local Etna ones. These have a distinctly mineral and salty after taste, that is particular to the volcanic wines.

We have been there twice because of the good value for money. A nice dinner on the terrace with view on the street in the center of Castiglione. Very nice staff, familybusiness we think. They were very service driven. Good food, a place with a heart!

A small hidden jem in Castiglione!We had red good reviews for the ham and cheese plates so went there for a wine dine.The lady in service was super kind, amazing at her job; explained us in full details the origins and notes of the ham,cheese and wines.We also tried the pizza with the pistaccio, burrata stratciatela, and donkey mortadela that is the best pizza all over italy!! Refined taste with rich crust made of a variety of grains.The grapa aged in barel is the best ever!! Originated from a local producer at 42â¬/ 750ml

We visited Siculishh on the back of good TripAdvisor reviews and we were not disappointed. The menu was inventive and complimented by an excellent wine list. The owners and staff were welcoming and attentive. Our food was excellent with subtle flavours complimented by local Sicilian ingredients. An absolute must if you are in Taormina.

We stopped for lunch, yes the Etna view is beautiful, the staff were friendly however the food was horrible. The pasta dish was packet pasta, they told us it was good quality packet pasta though!We were very disappointed and left feeling hungry and dissatisfied The Best part of the place was the viewDear Justyna,I am sorry to read this comment.Obviously, there is a language/knowledge barrier. I will try again to provide a briefly/synthetic explaination in the hope that you will have future wonderful meals in Italy.1) Pasta = all types of pastas, ingredients, shapes and sizes "spaghetti, pennette, etc."2) Dried Pasta "allâuovo" (made with eggs) comes in a package3) Craft made pasta allâuovo âpasta frescaâ (home made with eggs) â it can be in a package4) Dried pasta made with just water and flower (comes in a package) 5) Craft made pasta made with just water and flower âpasta frescaâ â It can be in a packageThen you have all of the processed ones (frozen, etc.) which you might find in many bars âtouristicâ restaurants, airports fast foodâ¦â¦In our Hotel we use both Dried pasta (as 99% of the restaurants in Italy) On out evening menu you can find both dried and craft madeIn both cases is freshly made/cooked for you (some restaurant would also pre-cook the pasta).We have a small kitchen and only 12 table everything is cooked espresso for our guests we do not use processed food, we take care of all the preparation. We can specifically prepare a requested type of âpasta frescaâ craft made pasta which is not on our menu with a one day notice.
