We were invited to this exceptional restaurant by local friends who know a thing or two about restaurants in Piedmont.Chef Sebastiano has been able to pervade the place with his creative, ebullient and highly cultural personality. You will find incredibly creative dishes (an example for all: carob linguine cacio e pepe - hhmmm!) and you can see a lifetime of old prints collection and modern art pieces all over. You just know that a person that lives surrounded by such intellectual beauty must display his talents also in the kitchen, in a constant search for excellence. In the tranquil town of Borgomanero there is now a restaurant that will be Michelin starred as soon as it is discovered. Gustare Oltrecucina is based on the Italian food philosophy of taking the best ingredients and bringing out their intrinsic flavors. Gustare Oltrecucina uses the best seasonal ingredients and takes the cuisine to the next level, applying a highly creative approach to traditional preparations. Every course, from the amuse bouche to the celestial desserts, is a delight for the eye and rapture for the taste buds. The area wines are accessible and well priced and the service is impeccable. I wish I lived nearer to Borgomanero!

We had a great experience at Orcobacco. The menu is small full of seasonal local ingredients. The service is excellent, casual but very professional and friendly. They're great at recommending wine and explaining their dishes. Honestly probably one of the best services I've ever encountered living in Italy. The place itself is well designed, modern rustic. Most importantly, the food was delicious and I can't wait to go back.

Restaurant is open on selected nights, but when it's open it's packed, not a table available. It's a set menu, usually 5 courses, everything comes from the region so it's very fresh. Dishes are nicely prepared and sized and all have wonderful spices and ingredients. Restaurant has been constantly redesigning and it's looks great. Gonna stay here next year again and bring friends along to enjoy this place

Serata in compagnia di amici e pargoli al seguito. Scegliamo la formula buffet molto ricca circa 7 primi e vari antipasti ed insalate..cibo non banale di ottima qualità . Bimbi contenti ed in compagnia delle animatrici...risultato della serata: un po' di sane chiacchiere in ottima compagnia, buon cibo e pargoli impegnati altrove!

A very upscale trattoria that could definitely compete with any upscale restaurant. Very good selection of appetizers, salumi, even foie gras. Classic Primi including, risotto with fungi porcini (in season), agnolotti etc. Wide selection of meat and some fish Secondi and a wide selection of local cheeses. Very good wine list with wines of some of the best producers in the Gattinara and Ghemme region. Overall, a very good dinner.

We just had an unbelievably good 7 course meal for 20 people from our golf society, the wine was excellent and all at a fantastic price. We will definitely be going back again. The family and staff running the restaurant are wonderful. If you are in or near Borgomanero, do yourself a favour and give them a call.
