The Red Fish Cafe looks over this amazing waterfront. With transparent seas and rocks to jump off. Truly stunning location. We had our meal at the tables outside next to this waterfront. The food and wine was fantastic. All locally sourced and really tasty. I had Zuppa di cozze and my dad had the fried sardines. The mussels were probably the best I've had at a restaurant. We met the owner Paris who was great and our waitress as well provided fantastic service throughout our meal. Can't wait to come back!

Wonderful seafood and pasta, and a lovely ambiance. The seafood ravioli was particularly good. This is one of two restaurants in Lerici recommended by relatives who spend several months a year in the area. These family-owned places are so welcoming and friendly and the seafood is so fresh. A delight.

1918 was highly recommended to us by two locals the first day we arrived in Lerici and it turns out they were spot on. The food is fresh and creative and the energetic staff compromised of the owner's family members work together in perfect harmony to provide outstanding customer service.

I love this restaurant, I've been here with family and friends, possibly as many as 10 times over 4 or 5 years. The food is mostly outstanding as is the service. Its a little hard to find and the very long driveway up does require good to outstanding driving skills as its very narrow. Suggest you turn your side mirrors in. Regarding the food I have two suggestions, which would earn it a five. 1. How about improving the bread. It has gotten better now that they've done away with the brown bags and now use baskets. Its still not up to their standards. 2. Heat the plates when the dish is hot. On my last visit I mentioned this and was informed that they did this but only when serving steaks. Very, very hard to understand. Please heat the plate if the food is being served hot. Service is outstanding. If you ask they have an English language menu.

Great restaurant in a picture perfect location. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was some of the best we have had in a month in Italy. Not sure why this restaurant isnât on the map for foodies from all over the world. The home made bread was moorish, the crunchy anchovies and the octopus starters were beyond good and the pasta was a cut above what youâd expect. So many little touches made this the perfect dining experience.

I didn't get any fried food but I would have. It looked great. I had the fish curry and it was excellent. I loved it. I highly recommend trying that.

We tried eating here our first night in town but on a busy Saturday, no open spots. We made a reservation for last night and even though the town was much quieter on a Sunday evening, this place was still packed. I can see why. Good service, lots of seafood (and other dishes too) to choose from and everything we ordered was delicious. So good we made a reservation to return tonight!

Three of us ordered three different tester oil dishes with three different sauces: Ragu, pesto and walnut. Every one was completely inedible due to an excessive quantity of salt. We do not waste anything, but this was vile and would have played havoc with blood pressure levels. Instead I recommend A Pie de Ma in Riomaggiore and I Fondachi in Sarvana.

Rudder opens its doors around 1960 when Portovenere had not yet reached the tourist interest today. The create and lead him to the end of the 80s and Marino Toni offering their customers the traditional Ligurian dishes joined the Italian dish: pizza. Toda
If you are in Portovenere, you should definetely visit Il Timone. The location is great, not very crowded but nice view on the sea. The pizza's are all great (we tried a few), and also the local dishes like fried anchovis and farinata (chickpea pancakes) I can recommend. Friendly staff. Not very expensive.
