Ken-Ichi

Seven of us enjoyed a wide variety of delicious Japanese dishes in this restaurant! Under the ‘eat as much as you can’ concept we ordered a wide variety of sushi and other Japanese foods. Although the restaurant was fully occupied the waiters managed to serve quite quickly and efficiently, and the service was warm and friendly. We all agreed the quality was better than we had enjoyed at other Japanese restaurants. A special offer of one free menu for groups above five persons had just been extended as a surprise! Definitely worth returning to!

Konomi

We went to Restaurant Konomi because friends had been there and were positive about the food. Indeed, the food was nice, we liked the sashimi best with very tender salmon. I also liked the wagyu 'larger' dish. The uramaki rolls tasted very good as well. The uramaki rolls are sizeable: about 7 pieces of 'sushi' each, so for us sufficient as a starter or even as a main. Because we didn't know the size of the rolls, we ordered too many and that was reflected in our bill, which was correct, but higher than we expected. From my perspective, we had to wait just a bit too long between dishes being served (the restaurant was full). It is a rather small restaurant and the tables are tight. We were sitting at the table near the window and as the door was open it was rather cold. On our request the door was (almost) closed, but not enough the prevent us from smelling the smoke caused by the people smoking outside. All in all a bit of a mixed experience.
