NOI

I love southeast Asian and Japanese food. As a matter of fact, having worked with Japanese and being invited to authentic Japanese restaurants in neighboring Düsseldorf, one becomes very selective in terms of Japanese restaurants. Furthermore the quality and taste expectations are quite high. If you want to taste good quality Japanese food particularly sashimi and sushi, I would not recommend NOI. Even the soba (buckwheat) noodle soup I prefer at a Japanese - it just tastes better. The other dishes, primarily Vietnamese and Thai, are acceptable although I have also tasted better ones elsewhere. Service is friendly and the interior is modern. Its location close to the shopping center of town makes it an option for lunch or dinner.

I really enjoyed eating here. The fish is very fresh and the employees work with you to choose what you want in the proper portion size. Everything I and my friend had we liked very much. The food was priced reasonably, the choice was great and the seating very comfortable. I don't know what else to say, try this place, you will like it.

Osaka Sushi

I had read that this was a great sushi restaurant. The food quality which is obviously the most important was very good. However mis en place of the restaurant, (unironed tablecloths under plastic toppers), a very uninspiring dining room, old toilets) as well as how my food was presented; quite honestly I have never been to a proper Japanese and had such badly presented food!! Real shame as simply for example slicing the special rolls into same size pieces cannot be that hard..I would come again but next time would order only for example the menu of the month which sounded good at Euro 14.50 with free tap water instead of a full menu including two glasses of wine and a glass of mineral water at Euro 40. Shame....

Schwertfisch? Schwarzer Heilbutt? Bacon?
