Sushi at reasonable prices. Can't go wrong with their 3 roll special. Their negimaki and tempura dishes are excellent too. Good deal on the bento boxes.

We were excited to see the homemade soy sauce on the table, a sign advertising homemade kimchee - this was a place that was obviously dedicated to good food. And it was good, but not as good as other sushi places we've been to that are just as close and closer to our location.The portions were standard, the plating average - the service was very good. There appeared to be many regulars who knew the workers, as well as the other customers who I'm sure, are big fans. We're just not one of them.

I cannot say enough about this place. Itâs a BYOB with an small town but upscale feel. The wait staff is consistently friendly and efficient. Their 3 rolls for $12.95 is beyond a good deal! Iâve gotten the deal for lunch & dinner. Sushi is fresh and extremely tasty. I also recommend the king crab salad. This picture is less than half of my entree (the 3 roll deal). Awesome!

This is a high-end sushi restaurant in the middle of Westfield-the fish is very fresh and the portion sizes are generous. In comparison to other sushi restaurants akai is a little more expensive, about 25% in some cases. The service was very attentive, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the Caribbean salad which had a great portion of fresh fish, a basterd roll and a few other assorted items that overall I would rate very highly. Normally I can eat quite a bit of sushi and get hungry again later, but I was very full afterward and quite satisfied.

Simply the best sushi in NJ. This place beats out all the other sushi places I've been to; on flavor, quality, preparation, consistentcy and presentation. The price is commensurate with the quality and a good value. The owners are super sweet folks and their staff is very good. . Everything on the menu is great.Enjoy!
