I finally had an opportunity to try this still fairly new place. My grandson and I both had the hibachi chicken, and it was definitely worthy of a 5. I felt it could have been a little less money since we were eating from a lunch menu, but the taste and pleasantness of the staff made up for the extra cost.

Perhaps we're spoiled by full-serve hibachi restaurants, and missed the point on this fast-food version, but for the extra $10 between this and what we pay in a traditional restaurant, I'd much prefer to pay the extra money and take home the leftovers rather than dumping them in the trash. With a traditional hibachi restaurant you pay around the $20 mark for your entree (chicken, steak, shrimp) which includes a hot soup, salad, fried rice, and grilled veggies. Here you order a la carte for the most part. There's a communal vat of soup to which you're invited to help yourself, and the entree is served with grilled veggies and rice. The rice has no flavor whatsoever, though, and it's usually my favorite part. We had filet, and it was tender, and I had tempura shrimp as an appetizer, which was the best part of my meal. This is almost completely serve yourself - you order at a counter, are given a cup for the soda machine, pick up your plastic utensils next to the soda machine and serve yourself a bowl of onion-flavored soup if you're interested. A server brings your order to your table, but that's the only time you'll see him or her, so if you need something or have a problem, you'll have to go back to the counter to get service.Again, the service is fast. Making it a choice for people in a hurry - like any fast food restaurant. But like a fast-food restaurant, it's a mass-produced meal not held to the standards of a full-service restaurant. And the meal isn't cheap enough to put it in the same ballpark as most fast-food restaurants, so this place isn't good enough to warrant paying the price for food that doesn't measure up.We won't be back.

If I had to rate the food alone, this would be a 5* review - it was excellent, fresh and beautifully presented. However, having now returned home and checked my credit card statement, I have found an extra amount added to the overall lunch and tip. I assume this is possible due to the way credit cards are processed in the US, but I was not told of any additional fee needed at the time, nor does my signed receipt reflect this ‘extra’ amount. I can only advise anyone to check your c/c statement carefully after eating here or pay cash!!Thank you very much for addressing this issue. There should be no extra charge on the bill other than tax which shows on the receipt along with the total. Could you email me at [email protected] or call at 919-521-5328 to further investigate this issue? I'll be happy to look into the receipt and fix this matter as soon as possible. We took a recommendation off of TripAdvisor as we are not able to get reservations at our original restaurant of choice in Raleigh. We were unbelievably surprised on how tasty all of our meals where and how attentive the bartender was to us and made sure that we understood the menu and the selections and also his recommendations. A few highlights that I would suggest is the chicken dumplings in the pad thai with beef and also the beef lemongrass Noodle Bowl. But definitely go back when I am in the area
