Union City is a city in the San Francisco Bay Area in Alameda County, California, United States located approximately 20 miles south of Oakland, 30 miles southeast of San Francisco, and 20 miles north of San Jose. Incorporated on January 13, 1959, combining the communities of Alvarado, New Haven, and Decoto, the city has over 72,000 residents today and very diverse population. Alvarado is a California Historical Landmark (#503). The city celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2009. The Cities of Fremont, Newark, and Union City make up the Tri-City Area to the south. The larger City of Hayward surrounds the city to the north. The Tri-City Area hosts many local events, along with programs for the youth. In 2017 Union City started to rebrand and got a new city seal.

We hadnât been to Strizziâs for awhile, so it was our dinner choice. Early dining offers some specials at a reasonable price, and that was our plan. We opted for the Cajun Chicken Fettuccine, along with a Cesar Salad. It proved to be a good choice. Service was excellent, portions generous, and all in a very comfortable environment. Fremont is not known as a hot dining spot, so itâs nice to have a good one.

My husband and I chose to have dinner here, based on ratings, to celebrate my birthday. We were not disappointed. The food is indescribably delicious and the portions are immense! I started with the cream of cauliflower soup and my husband had the minestrone soup. Both soups were wonderful. Then, I had the tortellini alla panna and my husband had the fettucine pesto. Both were rich and savory. For dessert we shared the spumoni and the panna cotta. Wow! We were full before we ordered the desserts but we were glad we ordered them anyway. They were so, so delicious.The service was very good. The only complaint is the acoustics are bad if you want to have an intimate dinner for two. We will definitely return.

Pretty good lunch deal. Pizza bar, salad and a drink for under $10. Plenty of seating and tv's with local news during the lunch rush.

We stopped in here for dinner after a day traveling to the west coast. Restaurant was right next to our hotel. Food was very good. Nice wine choices. Staff was friendly and attentive.

After enjoying a super movie, we enjoyed a delicious late lunch at Tomatina. Four of us shared the January featured items & another salad. The kale & pear salad was light, with a nice dressing. The penne with sausage & an olive oil sauce satisfied. The pizza was light with fontina cheese, sausage & mushrooms. The Mixta salad always satisfies.
