we went back with a group of 10 people and everyone loved the pizza, prices and property. The views are amazing, the staff is fun and engaging, the beer is cold and reasonably priced, and the pizza is consistently outstanding. We will return again and again and again.

We did not stay at this lovely property but ate in it 3 nights out of 7! Food was wonderful, beside the sea with turtles popping their heads up a few metres away in the waves. Great, friendly staff and freshly prepared food. Also one of the fab swings that goes over the sea is part of the property.

This could be the fourth time that we went to Pasta Factory since they opened around two years ago. I am really happy to observe the high level of consistency they have maintained all this time in terms of taste, authenticity, down to earth prices and friendliness. Since I have been a regular traveller to Italy during the last 25 years I have had the great fortune to taste extremely delicious and authentic Italian food quite often. It is not an exaggeration to say that Pasta Factory is by no means behind any good Italian restaurant in Italy.Very very pleased to receive such a great review from u Sir Sathis & your family who travelled so many years in Italy, lived abroad and knows sooo much about the Italian culinary and food in general. I couldnât recommend Aqua Forte any more. We stumbled upon the restaurant by accident as we wandered around Galle on a day trip. We decided to go along the following night for our anniversary. We booked via instagram. The restaurant is welcoming and beautifully decorated. The attentive and friendly staff gave us a lovely table tucked away beside the water feature and greenery and under a little alcove. The head chef greeted us on arrival and took our order for aperitifs. We honestly couldnât decide what weâd go for as every single item on the carefully selected menu looked beautiful. We are never this stuck in a restaurant! In the end, we went for starters, a pasta course to share, main courses and desserts, with accompanying wine pairings. We had no intention of having such a decadent meal but Aqua Forte left us with no option! We wanted to try as much as we could.The tuna carpaccio and cheese/pork board were beautiful starters and the rabbit ragu pasta was the best pasta weâve ever had. We then had the pork belly and parmigianno mains which were both outstanding. The tiramisu and panna cotta were delicious also. The real star of the show at Aqua Forte is the head chef, Roberto. Itâs such a special experience to have the knowledgable guidance of the head chef who is very present on the restaurant floor. Upon request, his expert opinion helped us form many of our meal choices and all of our wine pairings. Heâs charming, friendly, an exceptional chef and clearly very passionate about his job. Our meal at Aqua Forte which really happened by chance turned into a night weâll never forget, both of us saying itâs the best meal and restaurant experience weâve ever had. We canât wait to return and will make sure we do in the coming years. Thank you for dining at AQUA Forte and thank you for your great review! We are glad that you enjoyed the authentic Italian experience, a little corner of Italy in Sri Lanka and that you returned several times. Both the pasta and pizza were good at this restaurant. The wine was better than most other restaurants too. It's down a side alley off the main drag so it was quiet. We had a lovely meal and would recommend.

Celebrated birthday dinner with my wife. The bruschetta was beautifully presented and tasty (both the olive/feta and normal version) and the (large) pizza one of the best after a month travelling in SL - we took half a pizza home. Ambiance is comfortable and laid back and the pizza chef and wood fired oven located at the front of the restaurant the centre of attention. The relative expense is offset by good quality. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
