We read about Pianeta on TripAdvisor and tried to get a reservation only to learn that all reservations were booked for the weekend. We decided to take our chances and got there when they opened at 5:00. Bar seating was available. Tom and Carlos were the bartenders and they provided great service. I had the halibut and my daughter chose the risotto. Both of us enjoyed our meals. We finished our meal with the tiramisu, which was excellent. Will definitely return next time we are in town.

Every time we head to the mountains, my family loves to spend a meal at Village Pizzeria. There is something for everyone and their pizza is to die for! Love their garlic and pesto chips (real thin crust pizza dough with a thin layer of the most delicious sauces), their minestrone was loaded with fresh veggies and their pasta dishes all satisfy. Love their sandwiches - meatballs are terrific!

Great family restaurant in Truckee serving pizza and pastas dishes that were made like grandma use to make it. Lots of indoor seating and outdoor patio for summer dining. Full bar and arcade for the kids in the back room. If you want family atmosphere with full bar this is your spot.

We arrived in Truckee very late after 13 hours of driving and asked the hotel for a list of local places to get dinner. We decided on pizza and called Round Table. They said it would be 90 minutes before they could deliver so we opted to drive there and pick it up. We ordered small size pizzas and were quoted a price of $45 - i realize we were in California, but even for California that was pretty steep. When we got to the restaurant it was nearly empty and several of the tables were dirty and piled up with dirty dishes. The clerk was rather benign - neither pleasant nor unpleasant. We took the pizza back to the hotel and all agreed that it probably the worst pizza we had ever purchased. The crust was terrible and the sauce and toppings did little to improve on it. None of the three of us even bothered to finish our pizza and we all three threw away the leftovers, which we never do.
