Lombardo's Restaurant

This restaurant is located next door to our hotel so we decided to try it out. It has a nice family Italian restaurant feel to the decor. They were somewhat busy but we were seated right away. Our server was pleasant and quick, almost a feeling of being rushed, but we made due. The plates were very good, we had lasagna, and a chicken special with mushrooms, artichoke, and wine sauce. Both were very good! Wine selection is pretty nice too. On the opposite side on the dinning room they have a bar with some tables also if you want to have a lighter atmosphere. The restaurant itself is pretty casual, so don't feel obligated dress up. Will come back if I'm sent to the same hotel next door again. Thanks for the great review! Have a safe and happy Easter and hope to see you back soon!

Grassi's Ristorante & Deli

Its original location was on "the Hill" and served the local community from the corner of Kingshighway and Potomac. In 1976, Grassi's opened its second location in what was then "West County" on the southwest corner of Route 66 (Lindbergh) and Conway. A f

I love having lunch at this place. It's got a really wide selection and very casual atmosphere. They also have a lot of friendly people working there so it seems efficient. Not fancy but sometimes that is what you want in an area that is full of fancier restaurants.

Our experiences of this restaurant have gone up and down over the years. Our last visit was disappointing thus confirming a consistency problem. The chicken was wet inside and the crust had separated from the chicken. The slaw lacked taste. The salad had plentiful toppings but actually needed more lettuce so that we weren't just eating a bowl of provel cheese. One of our main complaints is that the meal is also served immediately after the salads arrive so that you are forced to decide to eat your cold or hot food first. Service was just ok-the bill had a mistake. Most concerning is that once again the place was dirty. Just can't eat at a dirty restaurant.

We found this place by driving by on the way to the grocery store. Later, we decided to go back and give it a try. My mom and I got pizza and my brother got the Gonies Burger (with Bacon, Mushroom, and Provel Cheese). We all thoroughly enjoyed the food. The pizza was thin crust cut into little squares, with a sauce that was very delicious and different from your average pizza. My brother said his sandwich was the best he'd had in quite a while. There isn't any indoor seating, only outside on a deck in front of the walk up window. The menu is limited and apparently not yet posted online, since calling ahead would be your best bet. They said they would deliver to my house in St. Ann, which is good to know.

Used to have to wait for a table...but the place was slower the night we went. Service pretty good....NOT for a quiet dinner but good atmosphere. The pizza was excellent and the toppings on my favorite salad (Bada Bing) plentiful. Great place to people watch and take in the vibe of The Loop....right on trolley line. Hard to resist the desserts next door...(create your own cookie and icecream sandwich combo!)

Sauce on the Side

This local restaurant just opened it’s fourth location in the St. Louis metropolitan area (one in Clayton, two in St. Louis and now in Chesterfield). Made from scratch and right in front of you, these calzones will fill you up, are extremely tasty and only run $9 -$10. Nice change from the normal lunch options. Quick delivery to our nearby office as well. About 15 creatively named selections to choose from along with a half dozen salads and a couple of hand crafted desserts - everything is made in-house. My favorite is the “Meat Me In St. Louie” w/ pepperoni, Italian sausage, three-cheese blend and garlic. My daughter goes for the “Cock-A-Doodle Noodle” which is stuffed with mac-n-cheese, roasted chicken & mozzarella.

Maggiano's Little Italy

Visited Maggiano's on Easter with 15 family members for dinner. Seated on the balcony,we had a good view of much of their dining room. The waitress was very personable as well as efficient. It took a while for the food to come as the place was very busy. They had a pretty good variety of entrees to choose from, and also some "deals". You could get a meal that included entree, salad and dessert with another entree to take home. There were some other deals also. Their wine list was very good. Everyone said their food was very good.

This was my first St. Louis style pizza, and so far it's remained the best. The marinara is delicious. Restaurant is family owned and run, portions are generous..A throw back to old school Italian restaurants of the 80's. I drive 20 minutes one way to get pizza here. Live music on Saturday nights. It's busy and crazy and packed but awesome ambiance. Be patient as service gets slow but everyone accepts that and is pretty chill.

Wonderful artichoke & heart of palm salad. Pasta entree of ground salsiccia over linguine (never thought I’d say this) just too heavily saturated by oil & sausage, which contributed even more oil. Better than average service provided at a table in the bar, but bar itself small enough & my dinner late enough to make singular & inane nearby conversations all too audible. Pre-dinner cocktail well executed. All-electronic/mobile valet experience a disaster.
