It was first mentioned in recorded history in 898, and in 1998 the town celebrated its 1100th anniversary. The town was the location of two battles during the Thirty Years' War, which took place between 1618–1648. Today it is one of only three towns in Germany that still has a completely established city wall, the other two being Rothenburg ob der Tauber and Dinkelsbühl.

I wanted to eat something nice like a pasta but waiter offert me continuously a pizza that it has not been on menu. I choose a 4 cheese that really base wasn't well cook like missed some minutes.Related to tiramisu it was a little bit dry not as soft that usually are.Price for a pizza & tiramisu was more than have to be.Service quite friendly.inserted yesterday, and since we have just opened, the menus are in the process of updating pizza. I hope to see you next time so you can read the whole menu. thanks good evening

Very delicious Italian dishes in the Firenze Eiscafe Pizzeria. Friendly staff and you only need to wait a few minutes until the dishes are served. And not to forget about the amazing ice cream spaghetti and cups!

The food was very cheap, which we have found to be quite typical of many restaurants in the towns on the Romantic Road in Bavarian Germany on this trip. My husband really enjoyed his pasta dish (something creamy with beef and broccoli) but unfortunately my Aubergine Parmagiana was luke warm around the edges and fairly cold in the centre. It still tasted ok so it was a shame because I think it could probably have been nice if it was hot. I didn't send it back because the language barrier would have been a slight issue (I must point out that the English spoken was far better than my German) but I think perhaps it was a one-off and I was just unfortunate this time.Dear Jacqueline,first of all, thanks for your comment here on Tripadvisor. We were recommended to go here..and it was great!! After eating German food for three days, we wanted a change! We didn't have a reservation, and although they were busy, they still accommodated us without a problem. The food is great - quite authentic, but their service and their charisma is what is outstanding! They couldn't have been more friendly and helpful towards making our visit a great experience. If you're visiting Germany, and you want to eat something other than the typical German food, then you must go here! Highly recommend it!

Located in the old corn exchange building in the middle of town. Good ambience inside and outside tables when the weather is fair. Good selection of pasta and pizza at very reasonable prices. Laid back Italian staff so do not expect fast service. Not just for tourists as locals dine here so speaks for itself.

Again, A bit surprised by the raving TA reviews. Other than cute decor everything about this played shrieked mediocre - from the food selection to the food quality. Very bland, simple pizza and pasta, ok hamburgers (they forgot the cheese and never brought it). But the worst part, the lovely server was left in her own at lunch time rush on a Saturday and a meal that should have taken less than an hour took 2.5 hours!!!!!!! My little girls both had serious meltdowns while waiting for food. We would have left but everything was either packed or only open for dinner. Definitely give this one a miss.
