Goodness ... rarely have I had a meal that I was so disappointed with but which cost so much. Croutes aux champignons is a dish, eating frequently in a certain Swiss heritage Cafe Tea Room in Yorkshire Iâm aware of, but this it was not. A slab of bread with, what tasted like a packet-mix mushroom sauce on top was a disappointment which could, perhaps, have been accepted as no more than an unlucky choice had it not been for the crème brûlée desert. âCâest tres chaudâ said the waitress as she presented the refrigerated and flash-grilled saucer. Sadly what she didnât say it was lumpy too before turning the lights on and off to indicate âleave, because weâre closingâ and a bill that, even in Switzerland, was eye-watering. Shall I return? Nope.

Very cosy traditional Swiss restaurant in Villars village. Generally the food was excellent and the service was good.Two of our group had Raclette. Here it's done the old fashioned way - cheese melted over a real wood fire - and you'll have cheese with a wonderful smoky flavour as a result. They will need two people minimum to be having Raclette, to set up and light the wood fire (which is fair enough).Highly recommended!

Charming, pleasant and professional service, with an open kitchen vibing a warm Italian family atmosphere - plus breathtaking views - a total experience. Reservation is a must.

As a family, we decided to go for a pizza outing, when this restaurant popped up on our TripAdvisor radar.Luckily enough, they had space and could fit us in at a nice table within the restaurant.The food was tasty, the service was fine, the ambiance of the restaurant was to our liking (seemed like recently opened/renovated). So honestly, it was all good. Just not anything spectacular, you know?Being a bit picky, the only thing that bothered us is that one of our waitresses didn't speak English or German, which in such a touristic location was a bit strange.Nevertheless, for all those in the mood for pizza in the Montreaux area, go for it :)

Rarely rate as low but bad experience here. Hard to catch cold waitress. Salad supposed to be vegetarian served with a pile of atun. Barely any sauce. Dry bred. Clearly a well placed restaurant that bet on one time tourists clients.

For sure it is a student bar.Most patrons are questionable as they are from a high school nearby and a mix from a university next to it.Else than that service and drinks are amazing!The bartender is very nice and knowledgable.Atmosphere is very chill. They wait up for me and my friends during our stay even tho we passed 40mnts of their closing time.

Ate at Mamma Lotta's this weekend whilst celebrating a friend's birthday. Lovely restaurant, good food and ambiance - situated right in the centre of Villars so very convenient. A very welcoming and friendly restaurant.

The booking made on internet was confirmed in seconds, the table was ready, and they even offered us to choose a different want if we prefered. Drinks were served quickly, and the service that followed was excellent. I will certainly go back there when in Aigle.

Visited on a quiet weekday. Food was ok but not the best Italian I've had. Started with carpaccio which was very tasty, then I had seafood spaghetti volcano, didn't quite know what it would be. The waiter just put down a dish which had a pastry/pizza type top and that was it - I asked someone else if this was the spaghetti dish,it was and the original waiter should have cut open the pastry/pizza topping to reveal the spaghetti and seafood below, guess this was the volcano.It was ok but nothing special the original waiter asked if there was something wrong as I didn't eat it all, well no there wasn't anything wrong I'd just had enough.If I went again I'd have pizzaHi, thank you for being our guest, and I apologize if the waiter has not been attentive in the service.Next time we will be more careful. We are waiting for you for pizza.Thank you
