Nach einer langen Wanderung haben wir uns beim Kartenspielen gestärkt und die Gerichte von der Karte rauf und runter gegessen. Dazu gab es leckeren Wein oder auch anderes. Die Chefin war geraderaus und hat uns die passenden Antworten gegeben, so dass wir das Haus nur sehr empfehlen können, allen die unverstellte Gastfreundlichkeit und Leckereien mögen.

Hatten das 4 Gänge Ãberraschungsmenü: leckerer Vorspeisenteller, selbstgemachte Ravioli mit Gorgonzolasosse, Doradenfilet aus dem Backofen mit Rosmarinkartoffeln, dazu Gemüse, als Nachtisch Pistazienmus: Herz was willst du mehr! Und das alles für 26â¬! Einziger Kritikpunkt: auch ein italienisches Restaurant in der Pfalz könnte 2-3 heimische Weine anbieten

Nicht unbedingt lukullische Highlights aber Hausmanns- und Bistrogerichte in ordentlichen Portionen lassen die Gäste letztendlich zufrieden das Haus verlassen. Das Preisgefüge ist den Leistungen durchaus angemessen.

We, sadly, were only here for one night. But after a string of mediocre hotels with bad beds, or bad internet, or bad showers, or bad something, this place was a breath of fresh air. We can't think of a single bad thing to say about it! The bed was huge and comfy, the room was huge and clean, it had a soaker tub and solid internet, and the owner gave us such wonderful, personal attention throughout our stay. Parking was easy (we just parked at the side of the building), and the town is quintessentially German. It's right in the middle of the Pfalz wine region (and the hotel is also a winery), and there are literally dozens of wineries within walking distance, and hundreds within an hour of driving. We won't hesitate to stay here again, and we'll make sure to book a longer stay next time!

Sehr freundlicher und schneller Service. Schöne Terrasse. Sehr gute Auswahl an Speisen. Speisekarte optimal und nicht zu groÃ. Hier findet jeder etwas. Die Pizzen waren sehr gut. Hervorragendes Rumpsteak. Auf den Punkt Medium. Rundherum klasse.

We have tried every pizza delivery service in and outside of Grünstadt since we have moved here 2 years ago and Normanni has the best of them all. Fresh out of the charcoal oven, genuine Italian toppings like Italian sausages, prosciuto or parmigiano. Delivery may take a little while because many others also like Normani and feel that they have the best pizza in town.

Nach langer Zeit wollten wir den Restaurant noch eine Chance geben, leider war der Besuch sehr enttäuschend. Der Service war nicht besonders freundlich, auf Extrawünsche, wie zum Beispiel, nur Gemüse statt Gemüse mit Kartofeln als Beilage wurde nicht eingeganen, satttdessen lapdar mit "das geht nicht" abgefertigt. Ein Gericht des Tages wurde bestellt, stattdessen kam ein ähnliches Gericht von der Karte. Einzig die Pizza war in Ordnung. Auf unsere Beschwerde hin, kam keinerlei Reaktion. Dem ganzen noch die Krone aufgesetzt haben die sanitären Anlagen, diese waren nicht nur in die Jahre gekommen, sondern schlichtweg nicht ordentlich geputzt.

We good here often because it has the best pizza in the Grünstadt area. Itâs affordable and the service is quick. The restaurant self is dark and because of the open wood fired pizza oven expect to get smelly clothing. We tried other then pizza as well but were less impressed. If you are in for a good, affordable and quick pizza I can recommend this place.

The address "Neugasse 81", in the center of Grünstadt, which is mentioned on TA as the address of the restaurant, is the place where the owners started the business with a pizza delivery service (explaining the name "Fliegende Italiener" - "Flying Italian"). The delivery service is still operating, but the restaurant, opened a couple of years ago, is situated in the city park, right at the tennis courts. Put the address "Stadtpark 3" in your sat nav. So now we have arrived at the right spot; parking is free in the area around the restaurant. The restaurant is situated on the first floor; downstairs is the kitchen. Sitting down can be inside of course, but the restaurant features a large outside sit-down area between tennis courts. As the weather was glorious for April, we selected of course an outside table. The menu offers a large selection of Italian food with a nod to the German taste. Also a lunch menu with value deals is offered. From the lunch menu I selected the salmon and spinach lasagna. Delicious, a compliment to the chef. As desert an irresistible home made piece of tiramisu was available. And it was home made, seeing the profile of the savoiardi lady fingers in my helping. Service was excellent and the bill was moderate due to the "value-for-money" lunch offering. I have added Die Fliegende Italiener to my short list of restaurants in the world where to visit when in the vicinity. During my stay in Grünstadt I even visited Die Fliegende Italianer a second time, at that occasion enjoying another fish dish and a tartufo as dessert.
