Il Patio is part of a chain of Italian food restaurants in the former soviet union. This restaurant is located near to the cinema in the centre of Gomel. The restaurant seems to be a magnet for chic Gomel residents, but based on the average quality food, over-priced drinks and poor service it's difficult to understand why.

Although the building is screaming of Ex Soviet Union, it was hellish cold inside while outside it was minus 20, we really enjoyed the meal and service. The waitress was very welcoming and sweet. The meals were amazing! Very tasty! I can't tell the difference with any family restaurant in Italy. Great little Italian - cheap and cheerful - make a good spagetti bolognese, and the pizzas are pretty good too, we eat here 3 times in the 5 nights we were in gomel only downside are the waitresses are pretty miserable!

I used to live in Gomel few years ago. So I visited this pizzeria quite often. Now I live overseas but I always ensure I visit this place during my holiday in Belarus. There are many positive changes in the design of the restaurant. It looks very modern. So you can make the decision that the owners follow latest trends. The place is really homey and welcoming. I adore Italian food. So if you would like to taste good food from boot-shaped peninsula, I strongly recommend to visit Arlekino.I always order Beef Carpaccio (Carpaccio di Manzo). My favourite. They have huge variety of pizzas. I personally like Zoloto Makarova (Doro Macarov) which comes with mushrooms, ham, salami, olives and mozzarella. If you are in the mood for a cup of soup, I would recommend Solyanka (Zuppa di Prefabbricati). Itâs thick soup from Russian cuisine which will warm you up during cold winter. Their pasta dishes are also amazing. I enjoy penne and lasagne.The service is always professional. Wi-Fi is a big plus to the modern design. In addition to the above descriptions they have a delivery service. So you can enjoy excellent food at the comfort of your home.Are in the mood for good Italian cuisine? Please visit Arlekino. One of the modern restaurant-club in Gomel with moderate prices for pretty delicious food. It locates in the very center of city. There are club atmosphere and well suited interior for comfortable evening and night in that place. Good service and feelings. We liked it very much.

I ordered here beef tartar, mushroom soup, fish filet with shrimps, grilled veg as a side and capuccino.Tartar steak: meat was cut and not minced, that was good. But they brought it already mixed with other ingredients, that wasn't really good because I prefer to mix it myself skipping onions and capers.Soup: a decent amount, but plain and the mushrooms were chewy.Fish fillet: not bad and soft, but there were some bones.Grilled veg: 1/4 of tomato, 1/6 of sweet pepper, 1 small champignon, 2 small slices of aubergine, 2 small slices of zucchini, onion.Water with lemon and mint: it was so hot outside, but the water wasn't cold, there was no ice in it and it was tepid.Capuccino was perfect.Staff was too overwhelming. Nice girls ready to help, but cmon! I just got the menu in one minute there was a waitress "Good afternoon, my name is ####, are you ready to order?" Why not to offer water first? She offered two types of bread with the soup, after the description I told her that I don't care and she can bring it "on your taste". She started to ask again, I told one more time that I don't care. She started to tell me the ingredients of both breads. After every serve she was asking, how was it, was it good, did you like it? What would happen if I'd told "No"?))The bill was 30+ euro. It is very expensive for Gomel. I don't really understand why this restaurant has only one $ in the description? 30⬠for starter-soup-main-coffee without alcohol and desert for one person it's mega-expensive (the average salary is 200⬠in Gomel).PS: I liked the interior)
