We have just spent an evening in Pelliccione. The whole meal was excellent, but the real star of the show was the service.We were made to feel incredibly welcome despite not having too much of the language. We even finished the evening off with Grappa in the Grotto! Please visit if you are in the area. You won't regret it if you want a real Italian feed.

This was a very good experience that started by us being welcomed by the owners as if we were long time friends. They make the only crew that prepares, serves and keep checking if everything is fine. They are also the ones that actually produce most of what is there to eat. There's no menu, you get what they have specially crafted for the clients that day. For starters we got a huge amount of fresh vegetables carefully seasoned, cheese, potatoes, beans,...I don't remember what else was there but surely it wasn't easy to find place for it all on the table. After we had two choices of pasta either meat or vegetable based which was enough for everyone to raise the white flag. Nevertheless there was still other two options for second dish, a steak and something else that I don't remember. Dessert was a selection slices of different cakes and pies, home made as everything else. To drink we had their red wine and natural sparkling water. To finish we had a very good "alloro" liquor and the moka coffee. The restaurant itself is very special: candles all around, and everything recalls scenes from the country life. Price is absolutely fair too. I highly recommend this experience, expect fresh and home made food, friendly served, and let yourself go!

Call ahead if you can. Walked around the town center looking for the restaurant based on great reviews all to find that it was closed at 1330 when listed as open. No signsstating why. disappointing.

Wenn we entered the restaurant we were a little surprised and perhaps even sceptical. The roof and walls are plastered with old phones, can, glasses trays etc. Very thrilling.The waiter brought the menu and a piece of paper explaining about the pizza dough. All in Italian. No word of English from the waiter. I like that by the way, genuine. The waiter took his time to explain a together we arrived at an understandable translation We ordered our pizzas and we got two very tasty, fresh and filling pizzas..Benissimograzie x la recensione (chirimoya)

This for sure the best Restaurant in Genzano di roma. The consilition was very good. We had fish based apetizers. It was absolutely fresh and excellent marinated. The main dishes - risotto and linguine - met 100% our expectation. The service has been on the upper level. This Location is fully recommendable.
