Cascarinoâs Grilled Srimp Salad was delicious with its fresh big shrimps and perfect tasting and textured balsamic vinaigrette. My husband enjoyed his grilled chicken with salad very much.Their complimentary bread was served warm which appreciate but with its texture and taste, it is not one of the best bread.Service is speedy, friendly and staff are attentive!

Years ago, this was a terrific neighborhood pizza place; now its a great upscale Italian restaurant. Prices are in-line with fine dining in a casual Queens setting, but this place never disappoints. The food is consistently generously-portioned, high quality, and always tasty. The waitstaff are attentive, but not overly responsive (viva New York!) We keep going back--its really the best food on Union Turnpike, whether you're a St.John's college student or a longstanding neighborhood resident (as are we).

Always love this restaurant! They offer a wonderful prefixed lunch menu. Florio is always very gracious and goes the extra mile to make certain everyone is happy. The fried zucchini sticks are always crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My mother really enjoyed the onion soup and the veal Sorrentino. The veal marsala was also delicious. The fish was very fresh and tasty. Everyone was thrilled with their meal.

One glance at this menu and you can see the wide range of choices there are. They also have specials. The Rigatoni & Italian Sausage is delicious. All the food is well prepared with fresh produce, meats and fish. I am happy this restaurant is in my neighborhood!

It seems to have your typical Italian cuisine but look more closely, or better yet, ask your waiter. The off-menu dishes sometimes gravitate to the menu proper. I've had sailfish carpaccio, elk, ostrich and many game meals that were terrific.AmbassadorCarl, thanks for your review. We're glad you got the chance to stop by for a great meal. Lovely family Italian restaurant and pizzeria. Visited with 2 other family members and enjoyed ourselves. Service was great. At least 4 different associates came by including owner to check up on our dinner, pizza, and drinks. Meal was well prepared and enjoyable. Had an Italian dinner two days earlier at another restaurant which cost 5 times more for 6 people-a mistake. Should have picked Piccolo Sotho instead.In summary, great food, reasonable prices, good value, nice presentation, great service where you are not forgotten. Italy comes to Flushing. Will return on next trip. thank you

We made a reservation by phone a month before for a Friday evening, before our Cunard cruise. When we arrived from our hotel by Uber we were told we couldnât have dinner because we didnât have collared shirts. I was wearing slacks and a cashmere sweater, my partner a pullover and slacks. We said that we were never told about a dress code. Since the rude maitreâd went to the back of the restaurant to chat with an older guy and then came back to give us the bumâs rush, we thought maybe itâs a gay thing since we were two men dining together. Nevertheless, the guy was unrelenting about not accommodating us. We were not rude or unkind to him. I asked him what he recommended we do and his response was âgo get a collared shirtâ. I guess you can imagine how we felt. So after 40 minutes walking around in the cold and not finding another Italian restaurant in this area, we were finally able to hail a cab and get back to our hotel where were able to have dinner about 10 oâclock. Be warned there was no Uber service available in this neighborhood once we outside again. Do not patronize this place. There is no excuse for treating us this way.

Always had a good meal here. Convenient for travelers to and from Manhattan.We have our business guests stay at the Hotel, The Marco, and its convenient to have this little gem of a place right there to have business dinners. Fresh, good Italian favorites. The Pasta was delicious. Great Fish dishes, and the host and staff always very attentive.

As Italian Americans ourselves, we know what is good and what is not. Having been to the Parkside in the past, we knew that we would have a very tasty italian meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The entire experience was wonderful. First, valet parking was quick and efficient. Having made reservations on a Friday night, we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. Our waiter and busboy worked as a team and were extremely efficient. Wine was brought out promptly and is reasonably priced. Then our appetizers of stuffed mushrooms and cold antipasto arrived and were very good. Pasta was next and the sauce was seasoned just right. Our entrees of veal sorrentino and veal marsala were very tender and delicious. A side of sauteed escarole was tasty. The pistachio tartufo and capuccinos finished off a wonderful meal. The Parkside continues to provide excellent food, great service in a friendly atmosphere!
