Great cocktails and good Italian wine. Much more than pizza and pasta.Authentic Italian pasta hand made right in front of us!Thanks so much Frederica and Fabio for the most wonderful dining experience! The service and your fabulous Gnocchi, Involtini di Vitello and Tortelloni di Zucca were the best we have ever eaten!! Also loved the Cannoli and Catalan desserts! Thanks also for the complimentary limoncellos! Wonderful experience! Weâll be back next winter for our 3 months at Burleigh Heads.

For great casual dining Toro Nero is a great place. Its small and intimate, offers indoor and outdoor dining, is licensed or BYO wine, and has a fantastic menu of wood-fired pizza complemented by excellent salad and side dishes. You had better book as this is a favourite with the locals and hard to get in at times.

Always wanted to try this pizza and we weren't disappointed. It was great. Yes its a little more than normal bulk pizza places but worth every cent. Plenty of topping, little stands in middle so the box doesn't touch the pizza - really good!

From the moment you walk in you feel part of the family.The welcome is warm and friendly.The two waitresses and chef who served us were very good and efficient.We shared serves of Yellow fin tuna carpaccio,twelve fresh garlick prawns with chilli and tomato sauce,and grilled Calamari with balsamic mayo.All courses were presented with flair and very good indeed.A well priced wine list complimented the evening.This restaurant was full on a Sunday night,deservedly so.

I love the concept of this little eatery. Very casual, where you go to the counter yourself and choose your flavours from whats in the window. These are sold by the slice which is fantastic for our family as we have two teenagers and no one can ever agree on a pizza flavour to share. Keep in mind that you can also order whole pizzas, or by the slice.From memory it is $16 with two slices and a beer/cider or about $12 for two slices and a soft drink. There is high bench seating which is for sharing and suits the venue well. The pizza makers are on full display and it is amazing to watch them spin that dough. The pizza's themselves are delish in my books. I adore the varied flavours and try new ones each time we go. They are huge and two is plenty but they are nice and thin like a traditional New York style, served on cardboard as well so you can manage it without dropping. Highly recommend giving this local gem a try.

I love taking all my southern visitors to Justin's lane. The atmosphere and food is always good. We usually drop in for some share plates and a few vino's. Staying at the GC because my passport had expired and could not get on plane to Bali anyways delightful holiday still. Uber driver suggested this place and it did not disappoint. On arrival lovely waitress bought us cold water and then ordered a bottle of red. Entree of shared salad and focaccia then after a nice time between a meal the mains. One was fettuccine carbonara and the other was tomato gnocchi. Both were absolutely delicious. Really nice place for dinner. Great wine list great service. Would highly recommend

Our second visit did not disappoint. The service was great. The food really really good with lots of choice. The serving sizes too big but surely not a complaint for most people. All the staff were attentive and friendly and professional. The handmade cocktails fabulous.Iâm thrilled you had another great experience at Balboa Italian.
