Saturday night dinner at Vinis is a reasonably frequent occurance. There is live music which is loud enough to be heard and enjoyed but its in the background and doesn't drown out conversation. There is a wide menu covering all tastes. We were seated quickly enough and drinks were delivered. The meal service however was slow, and we had to ask our waiter a number of times where our food order was. We had a halloumi table salad and focaccia to start and followed it with a baby chicken, prawns and several pizzas. While the order was slow in coming out it was perfect when it arrived. All the meals where up to the standard we have come to expect from Vinis. Service can improve a bit

We are seldom on the East Rand but stopped at La Terrazza for breakfast on Sunday morning.The place looks quaint and aunthentic so we were excited! And the coffee was a good start but then when we tried to order breakfast we were told that although there are hashbrowns included in some of the breakfasts and also listed as an extra they take too long to make. We were happy to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and wait but were then told actually it is not an option because we don't want to make hashbrowns.The waitress was very pleasant and offered to swap it out but rather take something off the menu if you are not in a position to serve it! Oh and they allow smoking in the (open) veranda. I guess if you are a smoker that will be a benefit but if not you will probably prefer to sit inside.

We took a valued and well traveled guest and visitor to dinner and were well pleased by our choice of restaurant. The service was prompt and our steaks done exactly as ordered. Orders for other than steaks and our desserts were also first class. The ambiance is most pleasant and the view from our window table beautiful.

Deliziosoooooo... if you like proper Italian food, this place is for you. The Trattoria has a proper Italian feel to it, the food is out of this world. Freshly prepared, generous portions, and made with the best ingredients. What's not to like... our favourites include Bruscetta, Baked Parma and Mozzarella, Corniglio, and of course the Pasta dishes, but we are still working through the menu.The deli is just as great, with the freshest cheeses, Italian hams and cold cuts. Well priced, too! So, give the chain stores the boot, and support this honest family-run jewel, and have a great lunch while you stock up your pantry!

Found this place by accident. Ordered a takeaway and the owner assisted me in choosing a vegetarian option. Settled on Spagetti with Pesto. (R80.00) Was not disappointed at all.Owner was very friendly and preparation was quick.Safe and secure off street parking.

Len's food is a staple in my home. Pizza, pasta or salad, it's awesome.It's always busy, but the wait is worthwhile and telephone orders in advance are welcome.You just can't go wrong!!! Len deserves every success, I'll sure as hell keep supporting him.
