Established in 1679 as a coaching inn, The King's Head in Chipping Ongar is the oldest brick-fronted building on Chipping Ongar High Street. Named after King James II, who is believed to have stayed here during his reign, this Grade II listed building is
The venue itself is a pleasant local pub resataurant however I did find it falling below standards which is dissapointing. When serving you at the bar it would be nice if they were listening to you and not having a conversation elsewhere. Having to repeat your order several time and then NOT get your drinks order correct is a prime example. I also ordered two pizzas of which one was very burn't on the bottom and the other one had plastic in the food. This I got a refund for. If you want your Quiz nights supported .... support us with good service.Hi dcutts1,Thank you for your review. This will be the last time we come here, we waited an hour for starters and then then once we ordered the kids an ice cream it took 25 mins to come we were there for nearly 3 hours for a mediocre meal

Had a table for 7 booked with a group of friends. Cannot fault to food, however, the service was the worst I had ever had . . . Anywhere. Our waitress was blunt and made us feel rushed at every point. Everything seemed an inconvenience. At 10.30 we were told the kitchen was closing and the bill was swiftly brought. I will not be going back. Hi, we offer our sincere apologies for the level of service you received. It must have been a really disheartening visit to our restaurant and we apologise. We do not expect any of our guests to leave our restaurant feeling this way and we hope to see you soon to show you just how good we can be. Love, Prezzo.

Zizzi Italian restaurant is situated in the heart of Brentwood's bustling High Street, just past the St Thomas Becket Chapel. Zizzi Brentwood is a cosy, contemporary restaurant and a great favourite with the local community. It has two floors with a mezza
We visited on a Saturday night with family and the restaurant was very busy. This didnât stop the staff being very friendly efficient and courteous. When our meals came out, they were tasty, freshly made and piping hot. Food prices are fair, only sore point is that the Peroni is pretty expensively over £6 a bottle. Heading back there tonight again with a group of friends and looking forward to it, so will stick to just buying the one beer!

Visited here for birthday meal after reading good reviews and wasn't disappointed. It would be easy to drive by this restaurant without really noticing it once inside its really lovely. Food and service is excellent you are allowed as much time as you need in between courses. The chef and owner really is a lovely man comes over and explains all the specials his passion for food and running his business is very evident,to be in the same restaurant for 30 years is no mean feet .I will definitely be visiting again incidentally i found the prices very very reasonable for the quality of the food.
