After reading the different reviews, thought we must give this place a go. Itâs true, the outside of the building is nothing special but the restaurant inside is beautifully decorated. Staff were very friendly and very patient with our limited Italian. The menu of the day was read to us and we also had no idea on the price! However, the 3 course meal was lovely and very tasty and the price was good value (approx 25 euros per person including drinks), would definitely recommend. Thankyou so much for your review, we hope to welcome you one more time.

We spent five days in Orta and had four meals at La Motta. They are closed on Tuesday! This is sufficient for two people to get through all of their menu. We loved everything! Food is great, wines are pretty good, service friendly and helpful. Not to be missed! Outdoor seating is lovely in summer, but there is plenty of room inside too-lots of character in the rooms.

Went there twice with a large group and had a wonderful surprise. Great apetizers with a fantastic ricotta. The best part of the meal is the tagliata, almost 'all you can eat' and truly fantastic. Excellent price altogether. Children can see farm animals around. Only downside, the last part of the road to the agriturismo is truly bumpy.

Eat all at the same time (20.00 hours), eat all the same (nine courses). Perfect mix of informal setting and great food. Not sophisticated but genuine and top quality local ingredients. For just 30 Euros....Don't waste your time and money elsewhere unless you insist on having lake view.Adri

Had a lovely dinner for two there. Classic Piemontese kitchen, very good ravioli and pasta with homemade pesto followed by a rack of lamb that was cooked to perfection. Very nice selection of desserts and a wine list with some of the best producers from the area.Fair pricing and good service. Definitely make reservations before you go.

Sonia and Danilo offer the best food in Italy hands down. I've lived in Italy for 9 years and have eaten in numerous restaurants and I've never tasted such delicious food in my life. Everything is home made and extremely tasty. Go and enjoy. Grazie troppo buono , la cucina di Sonia , è come quella della nonna con un ingrediente in più , il cuore. Chef Cannavacciulo is one of the most famous chefs in Italy, a bigger-than-life character on the local Masterchef program. The celebrity status and frequent absence from the restaurant does not affect in any way the absolute excellence of any dish produced for the enjoyment of the guests, though. Traveling from south to north through the tasting menu will allow you to discover and enjoy the perfection of cooking techniques displayed by the talented and passionate team put together by the chef. However, the dishes from Campania on the a la carte menu are the ones that express the heart and soul of Chef Cannavacciulo. The best cuisine experience from a stay at La Villa Crespi will be enjoyed when two evenings are spent at the restaurant, one to discover the various features of the tasting menu, and the following one to get deeper into the life experience of the chef expressed in the cuisine from his home region. The sommelier is also very versatile and will know not only how to pair wines with dishes skillfully, but also how to sense what your wine affinities are to complete a more personal experience. The restaurant is in a quaint village on the hills surrounding Lake Orta. It's a cozy place with a main room that hosts about 25 people and a patio. The main room is tastefully decorated and you can admire the old fireplace and wood beam ceiling.The menu is skillfully composed by the two owners and dishes rotates regularly. Everything we had was really good, I especially liked the spaghetti with the trout.If you saved some room for dessert, the chocolate globe is your choice.The wine list features some great local wines.Parking is not a problem and they will greet you with a huge smile. The drive up there is worth every mile!

If you are looking for excellent food whist sitting in the calm of the countryside then this restaurant is perfect. The views from the patio are beautiful and the small fishing lake behind offers a picturesque backdrop. The food is delicious. We choose: soup, cheeses, hams, pasta and salad. Every dish was tasty and the ingredients fresh. We were there as a family however it would be a perfect place for anyone.
