We dropped in for lunch after visiting the Abbey library.The focaccias were fresh and what made it so pleasant were the friendly staff, who took the time to suggest the right flavour combinations.We sat in the garden at the back of the first floor - peaceful and relaxing.HelloThank you for your nice rating. Second time at this restaurant and both times were really average. Food is not so tasty, lousy whiskey selection and cold atmosphere. Will not be back.

we ordered take away lamb biryani & lamb curry. the biryani was full of vegetables and dark chilli powder and tasted horrible, even the lamb curry was not good. I ended up the next day with a bad stomach as well.Given I love indian food & also know how to cook this -we were in for a suprise when we ate the food. The restaurant also charged quite a lot which makes our experience worse.

The pizza here is good but the real strong point of this restaurant are the imaginative, delicious, and attractive dishes on offer. I live not too far away and know that I will always have a great meal here. The salad is scrumptious and beautiful to look at. The meat dishes are always a pleasurable adventure. They have an extensive wine list as well. The main room in the restaurant offers a lovely view of the countryside and the terrace in the summer months is cosy and inviting.

We ate here twice during our stay in Appenzell. Very nice and well eqiupped restaurant...pizza are baken in a wooden owen.Pizza furnace should be kept higher in temperature for optimal pizza,but pizzas are good.They have good radicchio and sausage risotto.Service very friendly and there is a children room with two playstation..The only bad thing i can say is that it is definetly too hot inside,so warm clothes shoud be avoided
