Whilst wandering around Veere, we stumbled upon this restaurant. To be honest we were slightly disappointed. Staff very friendly, lovely location and decor. Nevertheless there was a discrepancy between the service, food and image they portray. Food was disappointing and we both had stomach troubles afterwards. We don't mind splurging on good food and wine, but the price quality ratio was not up to scratch.

We had a light supper at Vriendschap on a cold dark night. We ordered shrimp bisque and a Tom Ka with bean sprouts and other veggies in it. Both soups were delicious. My bottle of Zeeland apple juice was so unusually delicious that my wife had to order a bottle for herself. The lust for new flavors got the better of us, and we ordered some shrimp kroket which were also delicious. The wait staff were helpful and polite, and food arrived reasonably promptly. One delightfully charming staff member chatted with us when we found out she was from Indonesia. Vriendschap was the most memorable restaurant that we visited in Middelburg, and we recommend it very highly for atmosphere, friendliness, taste, and value.Hello dear Staidthere,Thank you so much for your nice review. Good relaxing but staff was low level. Before you finished your drink they asked you if you want another one. One waiter does not know that the other one asked you, so the same story again.So at the end it only looks like they are after your money.

This place is just so cool. I love bookstores and in the middle of this store they have a cafe.I had a salad which was tasty and fresh.It's always very busy so it's not a romantic place to eat at.It's maybe a little unusual to have a good place in a bookstore but try it out when being in Middelburg.I go here every time I'm in Zeeland, it has become tradition.This bookstore has not only a cafe to offer but also tons of books, Magazins, board games, and much much more.It's location is on the Markt place.

Not perfect but still wonderful!We had a very nice evening at this gourmet restaurant.The service was nice, the lady tried real hard to explain things in english and to make our dinner as perfect as possible.I love the ambiance. And I adore the dessert. Ok, Im pretty impressed for the things we got and the money we spent on it.The location isnt as center as I expected but still acceptable as its still withing walking distance from the towncenter.

Very good pancakes, although too large for small children. Uneaten food was packaged allowing us to take it away. Staff was very accommodating, pointing out that lactose-free and gluten-free pancakes are also. Large indoor children playspace well designed: ours had a great time despite the heat.Plenty of parking space nearby.

De terrace of the Boschhoek is always alive, it's open until late at night and has a warm atmosphere. During winter the terrace is heated and in summer grape vines make the roof lush green. The 'forest midget golf' in the back of the place is good fun during summer. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that the food served at the Boschhoek is delicious!

Atmospheric restaurant, pleasant staff and hearty food. I enjoyed the sole wrapped in thin bacon even though it was a bit overcooked and a very large portion. My wife liked the pork steak; once again, the portion was pretty large. They also offer seating in a pleasant all-weather terrace; a pleasant place to sit during our windy evening.

Even though there were no vegan options and only one vegetarian option, the vegetarian option was veganised for me. The personnel is friendly, the atmosphere is charming and relaxed and it is child-friendly with a playground for the smaller children. The children's menus come with a special surprise which is popular.
