Find out what International restaurants to try in Santiago de Cuba. Entertainment can be experienced in a variety of ways in Santiago de Cuba.  Your ears may find comfort in the Casa de Las Tradiciones, a venue of the Trivoli neighborhood where Cuba's finest musicians gather for improvisation;  your mouth, in Paladar Salon Tropical, where mainstays of the national cuisine arrive in generous portions; your eyes, in the Jardin de Los Helechos, home to a floral explosion of 90 types of orchids and 350 types of ferns. The gentile Tivolí district, some of Santiago de Cuba's most exciting ensembles, singers and soloists take turns improvising. ADN is a small, but very well designed bar. It is centrally located in Santiago and easy to access. This bar was adapted inside a small house. There’s a security guard (bouncer) outside. There are about 4 small tables in the front of the house. Then you walk in to the smoking area (a small room with a few seats, since smoking is not allowed in the main areas)The main area has roughly 10 small tables, a TV playing the current Cubatón hits (at a decent volume that allows for conversations). In the back of the main room is a beautiful small bar. They offer a variety of food items and cocktails. Prices are very reasonable and the food was very good too. I highly recommend this place!

The restaurant is located in the middle of a fabolous landscape sorrounded by the bay of Santiago de Cuba.It is the ideal restaurant where you can scape the heat of the city and have a delicious lunch/dinner in a breezy, quiet and beautiful place.

There's really not a lot to say that would make a difference in whether or not you will eat in this resturant. If you are staying in a boat in the marina, you will most definately frequent the place. If not, you would never find yourself making the 20 minute taxi trip from Santiago Centro just to eat there. That said, the staff is friendly and helpful. The beer is cold and the food is good to the extent that ingredients are available.

Although a seasoned citizen, I had a very enjoyable experience at this friendly, youth-oriented sports bar-restaurant on Avenida Manduley in the Vista Alegre neighborhood of Santiago de Cuba. I enjoyed two very well-made dry martinis and a very delicious tuna salad. The place was hopping with students enjoying spring break.

La Canasta

This establishment is just a few steps away from the more famous Salon Tropical. It has a much different feel in that the tables are in a garden-like setting with plants/bushes separating eating spots from one another. Somewhat on the funky side with the different colored lights and and many ceramics on display. Both times we ate here, we found the food to be quite good and not skimpily portioned either. I quite like the privacy aspect to eating here. This may not be an eating option for those with a insect or critter phobia though. Good service and decent pricing. It is recommended to have a taxi on call if you are in need of transportation because this is not a busy street/area.

Whilst this restaurant is in a residential area a little out of town, (a taxi would be a good idea), it was recommended by our hosts, for whom it is a favourite. The food was very good, the setting was al fresco, and prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed the fresh lemonade. Highly recommended.

A small private "paladar" just a short walk from the Melia. The food and service are excellent. The owners live on the ground floor. The first floor is an attractive restaurant and there is a lively bar on the rooftop. Sea food is outstanding. I tried the rabbit, which was the toughest rabbit ever, probably a hare! My companions had seafood, and they raved about the quality. Very reasonable prices.

A lo Cubano

We were visiting Santiago for a day via a cruise. We took a ship-based tour which stopped here for a pre-organised lunch. To be honest, cruise excursion choices aren't always the best - but this restaurant has proved to be the exception. The quality and the variety of food was remarkable - considering the volume of people arriving at one time, the kitchen did an amazing job. We had a starter salad selection, followed by meat/fish selections accompanied by rice, banana chips, and even a delicious dessert. The wait staff and owner were all exceptionally friendly, and we left thoroughly impressed. Highly recommended
