This place was good for a vegetarian dinner. It wasnât the best food ever, but it was very nice, and if youâre tired of all the meat, itâs great to have veggie. We went at 8pm, and it wasnât very busy. It picked up a bit by 8:30, but you could still go without a reservation.Thanks for your comment.See you soon with pleasure,Cécile Couperie

We were lucky to get a table as we arrived without booking and although it was right at the start of service there was a queue of customers.In spite of being busy the food and service were excellent and although some of the dishes on the 26 Euro menu that we chose were standard Sarlat fare they were served with a twist to make them special.

Bistrot Paradiso Restaurant is located in the very center of Montignac lascaux. Opened yearly, the chef cook in front of you with 100% fresh products. A large terrasse, quite and peacefull welcome professional music bands and theater companies

We came in hungry just before a downpour at 6:40pm. Kitchen did not open until 7:30, but the owner, a lovely woman with a posh English accent took pity on us and actually had the chef prepare a delicious appetizer spread of regional specialties, for example, foie gras, carpaccio of beef, duck breast, pate and gazpacho and bread.Our dinners were so gorgeous that we took pictures, something that we never do. Fantastic treatment of vegetables, lots of different textures and tastes. Our mains were excellent steak and chicken/foie gras skewer. We visit many restaurants - some are poor - some good - some great and some brilliant . This place qualifies as far as the food is concerned within the great catagory . We enjoyed the meal immensely BUT what make the venue brilliant is not just the food . Service and pleasantness of those responsible for welcoming guests and serving the food is a vital part of an enjoyable meal out . Unfortunately , while we would give the chef top marks, the service ,whilst efficient ,was less than we would expect in a restaurant of this quality. There was not one smile, very limited description of what we were eating and no welcoming greeting . The job of serving and appreciating clients needs is a skill which is sadly lacking at this otherwise great place to go . I think "grumpy" would be a good description of the service we received .Thank you for your comments and compliemnts.We'll see with our staff so that it does not happen again...Please, if/when you come back (I hope) let us know if it's OK.
