We love this restaurant, both for private occasions and for business. Our visitors are always impressed by the surroundings and the atmosphere there. As the restaurant is quite small, reservation is essential. Food is excellent and prices reasonable.

This time I have a problem to write review. I were there few times... It's really good food and nice place. But... There are some disadvantages... First of all always grumpy waiters.. No hello, no smile, no thank you, no good bye... It looks like they are forced to work there.... It's very disappointing... Second thing.. Arround is beautiful nauture... But very loudy music from restaurants speakers always disturbing me enjoying it...

Was heel lekker. Hele vriendelijke meisjes.

Restaurant Camelot

Near the Czech, Polish and German border and frequented by visitors from all three nations. One of the best restaurants in the region with very appealing prices.

...I am going to have to revise my original review. We've visited this restaurant about six times in the past year and a half and have had both misgivings and a very bad experience since our original review. Generally the food preparation and presentation has been good, albeit inconsistent. I almost always order their roasted pork ribs and each time the sauce slathered on top has been different. On one occasion they had a tainted taste to them but were not so bad that I felt the need to return them to the kitchen. We often order a side of green beans. Usually they are wonderfully fresh with bacon mixed in and a slight bacon fat glaze. Once they came dripping in something similar to soy sauce which made them far too salty to eat.We ordered an appetizer of onion rings that the menu describes as 75 grams. We were served three very small rings (probably 25 g) and felt duly cheated. Our last visit proved to be the most disappointing and may, in fact, be our last appearance at what was once our favorite restaurant in the area. We ordered a round of beer to start with our driver specifying a non-alcoholic choice. When the beer was served they were all the same, no non-alcoholic in sight. The waitress quickly made the change without question. One member of our party ordered a specialty salad and two were brought to the table. We sent one back but within five minutes, the waitress was back and slammed the second salad down on the table without comment and hurried away. We set it aside on another table where it stayed until we left. All of the entrees arrived as ordered except the tartar sauce ordered as a side never materialized and the waitress did not return to check on the table until it was time to settle the bill. Sure enough, we were presented a bill with the extra beer, salad and tartar sauce added in. When we tried to correct the mistake, all hell broke out with both the waitress and wait supervisor being very rude and hostile. Finally the bill was adjusted to our expectations but not without a great deal of grief. We'd like to think the problem was with a new, young, inexperienced waitress but when the lead waitress also became rude, we have to conclude the problem runs deeper. It's a shame, we truly held the restaurant in high regard; recommending it to friends and visiting it as often as we were in the area. We're debating whether it is worth another try... (add sad face here)
