Finally, fresh food done well and reasonably priced in Switzerland,. Chef Christian Wiehe creates an abundance of flavors worth the trek up the hill from Yverdon les Bains to the Castle in Grandson. The outside terrace is divine. Our last lunch featured an apple upside down tort to die for.

not quite molecular, the chef borrows a few tricks to impress the guests at the moment they are served. Other than that his cuisine is extremely creative with some surprising addition to the menu, for example a small glass of a drink made of herbs usually used to season meat to awake your senses. Or seafood laid on a plate very graphically then he poured an emulsion with a lemon base which transformed all the colours on the plate giving life to the meal. The service was extremely professional but not stiff and we had a great time during the 5h that the meal lasted.

This is an amazing restaurant in the little village of Daillens. The staff is very friendly and professional. The restaurant is always full, but they never show any stress. They always take the time to ask if everything is ok. For Switzerland this profesionnalism needs to be highlighted !!The food is great. The menu is not too big and all the dished are very well executed. The owner is knowledgable about wine and really help in making the best choice with the meal. The price is aligned with similar restaurants in the area. (Starter about 10-25 CHF, main course about 30-50 CHF)The room is nice with low light and candles it is a great place for a romantic dinner or to go out with friends.

We have been there twice, always happy with the food and the service we received. Meat quality was excellent, and the foie gras with caramel sauce was absolutely divine. One of the best restos we have tried. Service is good, the place is very clean, highly recommended.

Le Zingue has a very interesting concept of having different Chefs coming into cook on different days,. The meat they serve is extremely tender, fantastic.At the end of the week they serve Fillet de Perche from the Lac de Neuchatel or when ot of season from the Gottard...The choice of wine is really good as Le Zingue is also a wine cellar / shop as well so the price are kept very reasonable when you eat in the restaurant and if you like the wines you have had with the meal you can buy some to take home at retail prices.Also have midday menu.Service can be a bit hectic,,,, and slow!!
