Modern NZ bistro , quirky and cosy ambience on Christchurch's iconic New Regent Street. Sister restaurant to Town Tonic . Creative modern cuisine with friendly and fun service and awesome cocktails and boutique wine menu . Situated in the creative precinc
Regent Street is a lovely part of Christchurch with quirky facade on the buildings. Well worth saving these buildings after the 2011 earthquakes. Small is the word to describe this restaurant....building, number of tables, eating areas, limited menu and desserts (items removed or changed from menu). Menu better for small appetites and vegetarians. Dessert was disappointing but salmon main was good if you like your salmon lightly cooked.

Called in on a Sunday evening for a bite to eat. There was a trio playing jazz music and the atmosphere was great with a lot of people enjoying themselves, we just about managed to get a couple of seats in the bar! Great selection of beers on tap I was pretty spoilt for choice! For food my girlfriend had fish and chips which she reckons was the best so far sheâs had in NZ. I had the chorizo and sausage meatloaf which tasted great. My only criticism with my meal was that it needed a bit of altering, it came with onion rings and mash which I didnât find went very well together, but the meatloaf itself was so tasty! Apart from that a great little pub with top beers and tasty food, will definitely return

Enjoy dinner in style on board our beautifully-restored heritage tramcar. A unique experience mixing great New Zealand cuisine and beverages with a slow-paced tour showcasing Christchurch's rebuilding and vibrant inner city - this is not to be missed!
Have had the chch tram restaurant on my 'bucket list' for quite a while. Finally I was able to try this out the other night. It was truly a lovely evening with wonderful food along with a joyous buzz throughout the tram from other diners. It almost felt like eating on a mini Orient Express! Not that I have been privileged to have dined on that, but that's how I would imagine it to be. Staff were warm and welcoming as well as making sure that everyone's dining experience was an absolute pleasure. This is not only great for tourists, but definitely a worthwhile experience for locals.

At 5th Street, we welcome and care for all those who walk through our front door. Our head chef Samson Stewart (from Hello Sunday) teams up with lifelong friend and co-chef Max Perry in a kitchen they designed and built themselves. Together they create fr

Stunning food in a stunning location. Rushani's food is always interesting and always delicious. Focusing on sensational lunches in our landscaped garden, pop by for an excellent coffee, handmade food and service with a smile.
The diversity (and rotation!) of the pies, salads, cakes and other incredible and nourishing food is reason enough to visit Lyttelton. I now go to the Lyttelton market, with the specific goal of popping in to Rushani's for another treat.During my last visit I had a divine ricotta, sun-dried tomato, basil and camaralised onion tart - simply the best food I've had at any café. There is a lot of bad coffee being served in café's across Christchurch, fortunately this is not one of those places! Optimum balance between caffeine hit and intense flavours, and consistently good.Staff are also very friendly - quick service, good banter and smiles. Couldn't ask for more.Really, you should go there as soon as possible.

Very nice food and very good prices. We had a lovely chicken and asparagus lasagne, fish and chips, chocolate cheesecake and Chai tea. Service was ok, friendly staff, but we had to remind them we ordered cheesecake as it didnât come without the prompt. Still recommend it for a nice meal and pudding.

Governors Bay Hotel is an historic 1870s hotel with stunning views over Lyttelton Harbour. Located just 20 minutes drive from central Christchurch via Dyers Pass Road. Gastro-pub fare at reasonable prices from the garden, bar or restaurant. Recommended in
Following a nice, but short, drive from Christchurch we were all pleased with our food which slots into the 'good pub meal' category. The service was however disappointing but, to be fair, I suspect we caught them on a bit of a bad day - Sunday lunchtime; member of staff absent; one waitress unfortunately dropped a couple of plates of food; and so on!!Hi there,Thank you for your contribution to the TA forum. Some days donât go as planned and when you have a busy Sunday service ahead itâs not ideal to have key staff absent due to illness. Anyway, stuff happens and weâre very glad you enjoyed your meals with us.Kind regards and happy travels,Jeremy
