The area of Kosgoda is home to a population of nearly 3,000 people. It is approximately 72 kilometres (45 mi) south of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1 metre (3.3 ft) above the sea level. The area is becoming one of the most vibrant tourist areas in Galle District in Sri Lanka due to the locations beautiful beaches, Kosgoda Lagoon (perfect place for watching birds and boat trips) and the it's Turtles and Turtle hatcheries.

Booked for dinner after many phone calls not being answered. Had the special garlic prawns which were tiny and tasted like they had been cooked in marmite served with a slice of white toast?!? Then ordered Thai chicken curry which my friend said was tasty. My tuna was so tough I sent it back. Told I would have a new one in 2 mins. After 15 mins when friend had finished eating and the table was cleared I went to find out where mine was. It arrived several minutes later stone cold. Sent it back and didnât pay for it. We are sorry that you had this experience at our restaurant. As you can see in our menu the Sweet & Spicy Prawns are a starter, so they are not big sized and that they are served with toast. We are having very clear rules that our service should sell tuna steaks only when they are very fresh, so that they don't get tough. This was definitely our mistake and the management has taken action already. This should not happen anymore. Also it is not possible for our kitchen to prepare a new tuna steak in 2 minutes. Also there for we have taken action and excuse the wrong information of our service staff. He should have offered you a sear fish steak as an alternative.So it would be great to see you once again. You would definitely revisit your review. Thank you and have a nice day!

they serving fresh and delicious sea food...banana wrap fish with special sauces,,,bbq sauce, sweet and sour,, spicy herbs sauce,,, wow nice meal,,,aroma rich sauces and spices,,,.cocktail also well balanced..wine and food match well. crab cury so tasty,thank you krishan and sujani,,,also cute shelani..take care dont missed bamboo shoot restaurant,, near by 2 restaurant,,,small yellow colored one is bamboo shoot.. check twice before sit down.highly recommended.

We visited on 24/09/19 for Dinner and was shown to a lovely front balcony table for 2 overlooking the Railway tracks .My wife loves the seafood in Sri Lanka and was shown a lovely fresh Mullet which she had grilled and filleted served with rice,salad,fries and fresh roti with garlic.The fish was cooked to perfection and everything was hot and tasty .I had a couple of cold beers and a large rum/coke .The Staff were excellent and good fun to dine with.This was our second visit to Mallies (April 2019 ) and Iâm happy to say it is as good as ever .Keep up the good work guys and we will see you again some time soon .Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a beautiful review and you 5 star rating.
