Reviews on International food in Carthage, Tunis Governorate, Tunisia. With a history stretching back nearly three millennia, Carthage was once the heart of a powerful Mediterranean empire before being leveled by the Romans in the Third Punic War in 146 BC. It sprang from the ashes to become an important early Christian center before again being destroyed by Islamic invaders in the late 7th century. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Carthage is a short train ride from Tunis and has several interesting attractions, like the Punic port and the Carthage Museum.
Things to do in Carthage
It's the only place nearby the "lac" with alcohol therefore though the food is quite average it's worthy to have a cold beer.

Nice rooftop restaurant in the center of La Marsa. The view is very nice. The prices are a little high if you compare to Tunisia but very ok. The service is good and they serve a lot of different kind of food, try the Maklob.
This restaurent is serving and excellent Pizza .The Dough is cooked under the wood fire in a stone oven. What is really amazing is the large variety of cheese choice and Pizza sets at your choice Like freshly minced beef, smoked meat ,Smoked Tuna, Bacon, Pepperoni ....etc All these ingredients composed together and different sizes are suitable for self satisfaction , Group or a whole family with another wonderful selection of sandwiches , fresh salads and Hamburgers. The place is well decorated to confuse watch or smell the freshness of the products that are served with a smile indoor or outdoor tables and suitable well studied pricing I recommend anyone near Goomba's Pizza to exploit the chance and experience that wonderful taste...
The interior design is lovely, the food is simple it doesn't merge with the prices. I've been there for the celebration of my first year of marriage i was totally shocked with the quality of service , the servers are doing nothing but talking with each other instead of working they are not smiling . i have been waiting for the dessert for more then 30min.They don't have a great part of the food in the menu.In brief i don't recommend it.
Un salon de thé plusque fréquentable.Calme et propre. Belle terace ensoleillée. Vous pouvez vous y rendre en journée u en soirée.

This is the most popular (and en vogue) restaurant in Tunis now. It serves a French-Italian-Tunisian cuisine. La Closerie's food is delicious, and it's excellent for people watching (particularly of the Tunisian jet-set).
A unique place, vibrant with the jet setters, and an elite of young (and less young) people. The karaoke night is always packed from 10pm (even on weekdays)
