Find out what International restaurants to try in Cape May. Yes, Cape May is, technically, on the Jersey Shore. But it’s the antithesis of the Jersey Shore you’ll see on TV—instead of nightclubs and tanning parlors, you’ll find Victorian mansions and a famous lighthouse.

Gourmet experience on the oceanfront. One of the best in Cape May. We relished sitting on the porch. Salads, apps seafood entrees all terrific. Can’t wait to return!

Freda's Cafe

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Freda's. Standouts were the seafood bisque, the scallops wrapped in bacon, and the nice fresh salad. Mixed feelings about the crab cakes: the cakes themselves were delicious, but the mango sauce seemed like a gimmicky distraction, drowning the delicate flavor to some extent. Also, there should be a warning on the stuffed pepper appetizer: the peppers are so extremely, fiery hot that we ended up emptying them and just eating the stuffing, which was okay but kind of defeated the purpose. (We realize that some people love fiery hot peppers but we wouldn't have ordered them if we had known). With that caveat, we would eat here again, anytime. Very friendly laid back service and an overall good vibe.

Lucky Bones

Reviewed By MorrisScott

A friend recommended Lucky Bones for their pizza. It is thin crusted cooked in a wood fired oven and is delicious. We had a traditional pizza and a mushroom pizza, both amazing. The mushrooms were fresh and perfectly roasted. The Manhattan clam chowder was the best I ever had with a nice subtle smoky favor. In a beach town where many restaurants are overpriced with average food this place is a gem.

La Verandah

Good food, well priced, surprising availability. A hidden gem for Friday and Saturday night BYOB dining in Cape May. Service was good and made up of foreign students. Duck was very good, well seasoned, cooked just right, and a nice cut of breast. Seafood pasta was nicely seasoned, generous on tender seafood, and attentively cooked pasta. Baked oysters were good and not over cooked. Fairly priced.
