Pondok Pengkang

I was here with my families during our visit to singkawang. It located on the big street city to city road and has wide parking lot. The specialities is pengkang, an traditional cake grilled wrapped with banana(or others) leaves. It has ebi inside the cake which is intriguing and they serves that with a sauce (clamp maybe?). The price for one cake (it was paired) 7000 idr and for the little plate sauce was 25000 idr. They serve seafood as well but I didn't try them. Refreshments drinks also available with simple local taste like lidah buaya ice and jagung susu ice (corn milk).

The menu was quite extensive and the seafood served was fresh and well prepared. Service was friendly and pricing reasonable. We enjoyed our dinner here.

This place was recommended to me by a friend for reasonably priced and good food. So, decided to come by to give this place a try.And yes it was true to the words.Order a Singapore style sauce on deep fried fish, which is a set, that comes with a piece of taufu with gravy, a salad and white rice. Also ordered a plate of charsiew pau and a pot of Chinese tea.Very satisfying for the reasonable price paid for.Dear Mr. Long MWarmest Greetings from Terasky RestaurantIt is greatly appreciated that you took the time and review positively our Restaurant following your recent visit at Terasky Restaurant.Once again thank you very much for your coming and we are very happy for your satisfaction regarding the food and the price.Just to let you know that we have a special and unique menu named "Oseng Daging Pekok". Fish soup served with rice. Loved it! Really generous portion of fish in the soup and it's tasty. The special lime juice was also good. Better to sit at the large area outside as the area with air-conditioning was hot and stuffy.

Abang Kepiting Restaurant

Reviewed By jeffchia88

One of the best Seafood joints I had eaten in the region. I had a family reunion lately in Pontianak with relatives from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia and we had a seafood feast at Abang Kepiting on the first night. It was walking distance from our hotel at GajahMada. The seafood served, crabs, prawns, fish were super fresh, seriously you cannot get it any fresher than here. The dishes are flavoursome, delicious and mouth watering good and value for money. Be early if you want the good stuff, we were a little late, they had run out of my favourite giant prawns -Udang Gala.
