Ordered lanb tikka masala, sauce far to creamy and sugary sweet and the lamb was stale and tough, they changed it got chicken but same sweet sauce. Service rushed hadnât finished popadoms when taken away. Whispered that they havenât charged for my curry, as if they did us a favour no will not be going back Hello,We highly appreciate your review and concern about it. If you give a chance We look forward to serve you again. Thank you. GURKHA

Onion bhajee, poppadoms, Tandoori Chicken Tikka, Lamb Rogan Balti and Peshwari Naan - all for £18 with collection discount.Excellent food, well worth the money, more than enough for me and wifey - will be ordering from here again - lots of other dishes weâd like to try.

This is one Indian restaurant that never, ever disappoints when it comes to authenticity, presentation and taste.Absolutely loved our meal: son had a mixed grill starter, we opted to eat the poppadoms with 4 different dips (no! even though they were presented to us they were NOT complimentary!! cheeky eh! nevertheless, they were nice - too tempting to leave alone!Main meal: chicken dish, lamb dish and seabags dish (canât remember the names of the individual dishes!! but hey! whatever you choice I know you will not be disappointed. We chose a garlic naan, cheese and chilli naan and riceUnfortunately we we had to ask for our drinks order whilst others arriving were promptly asked/served their drinks. Maybe we had a teetotal look about us! I did eventually get a white wine (âmediumâ whatever that meant) and it was really nice. Staff were pleasant and itâs a lovely place and easy to get to, good parking toi

On first appearance it's not great it made me want to check my cutlery was clean... Definitely needs a revamp decor is dismal and dirty looking. Cutlery looks battered.Service was poor from staff - they don't look like they want to be there not friendly at all. My coke arrived completely flat so I just said to the waiter 'Excuse me my coke is completely flat...' to which he snatched it out my hand and said was it coke or diet? I said coke he went off and came back with it in a bottle and said 'see an unopened bottle' poured it and walked off no apology or anything. I then tried the coke it was once again completely flat which means it was probably off...Food was ok portions are small - rice and nan bread were really nice though.Other than that I most definitely won't be returning.

Stopped for a drink when having a walk along the canal, lovely spot to have a drink and rest for a while. It is clear that a lot of money has been spent on this venue, particularly on the new wedding venue. The canal side seating would benefit from a little TLC. (Weeding the path and some varnish on the chairs). Had a look inside "The Mad Hatters" tea room, and I will definitely be giving there a try soon.

Myself and 2 of my sons visited Bollywood restaurant Wednesday 2/10/2019 .Iâve been 3 times now in just over a year and I was remembered on both of my revisits even though they werenât close together I really can not express how good the service is at Bollywood restaurant. The food was again cooked to perfection and value for money is unbeatable .At the end of August I ordered from their takeaway menu and that was also excellent.I was pleasantly surprised for a Wednesday evening to find the restaurant over half full but as busy as they were it didnât have any negative impact on the service we received or the swiftness of receiving our food .Iâve said it before and Iâll say it again now â if you havenât been yet go try it for yourselves you wonât be disappointed â

We are an Indian Restaurant which is committed to provide an enjoyable experience for diners without being too intrusive. Quality is our priority with friendly service. Highly recommended by many.
Felt compelled to write a quick update on my now (and I'm delighted to say!) favoured local eatery. Visited several times since my last review and I have to say that The Waters Edge appears to be going from strength to strength. I have tried various dishes from the menu and really cannot fault the level of consistency of the food that leaves the kitchen, having frequented Derby's other well know 'Indian fine dining' restaurants for many many years I can safely state that this place ranks over and above simply based on the overall dining experience and perhaps, for most customers, the value for money-I would estimate on average that like for like dishes are 25-30% cheaper! The naan breads are the best I've had, the rices are the lightest and fluffiest I've ever had and would challenge anyone to disagree! You won't get served by elaborately costumed waiters but you will be served with a genuine warmth and hospitality from a team that clearly cares for the their patrons and more importantly the food they receive. Bravo!

Without a doubt, this is the best Indian restaurant I've ever eaten in. The food is superb, the staff are excellent, and take the trouble to explain the dishes. And the food is cooked within view of the diners. We've eaten there twice in the past month, and also ordered a takeaway which again was superb. The atmosphere is excellent, and on warm evenings you can sit outside overlooking the Marina. And there's a really good selection of drinks. Whatever you choose from the menu, you won't be disappointed. It's an absolute pleasure to read reviews like this. Our sole aim is to make our customers happy. We hope all your future visits are just as good.

Not your usual Indian menu. Itâs short and has many dishes you wonât have heard of. None of the long list of various curry styles with meat, chicken or prawn.I had a hot fish starter. Fish fried in batter with a hot sauce. Lovely. Poppadoms with various relishes, a peshwari Naan, and we shared a lamb and a prawn dish. Delicate flavours with coconut cream for the prawn, faultless, and more robust curry with rich tomato sauce for the lamb.Best Indian meal for a long time. Thank you for your response. We have a lot of dishes and always happy to substitute to your request. We're happy to add meat or fish. Please ask a member of staff when visiting again. We are happy you enjoyed our different dishes.
