I prefix this review with the fact that the food was lovely. However, in order to eat here you need to be ready for a challenge. If "avoiding eye contact" were an Olympic sport then we would be looking at a room full of gold medalists in these waiters. We arrived at precisely the time of our booking, The Manager greeted us and said "one moment" then looked down at his paperwork for approaching 9 minutes as staff walked back and forwards around us. Eventually we were sat by a monosyllabic waiter who asked "drink ?" but with no sign of any menus from which to choose. We were then brought popadoms (tasted lovely - thanks) but again no menu so eventually the table next to us gave us theirs. Our drinks did arrive eventually (which is more than can be said for the second round of drinks which we needed to chase several times). It became a bit of sport for our table (a way of passing the time I guess) as we played "make eye contact with a waiter" but sadly they were too intent on walking in and out of the room empty handed or laying tables. The only real activity was around serving the high volume of take-away trade which is perhaps where they make their money BUT I would argue that they need to make their mind up as to what kind of business they want to be. The only people who ate in a reasonable time were those who went for the buffet but the buffet service tables were a little messy and did not look that appealing. To top off the experience, when we finally got to the winning hurdle and tried to order dessert, the waiter actually took his phone out of his trouser pocket and checked it in the middle of us placing our order. He looked like we were boring him. Again, lovely food so if you have (lots of) time to kill and like to dine with a sense of humour then I would not say 'avoid' ... but you have been warned !

1st time we visited this Indian restaurant after recommendation from friends.Lovely food, beautifully presented. Went for a honey badami chicken and king prawn rezzala, both dishes were full of flavours.Canât wait to go back, already booked a table for next week

Heard some good things about this restaurant so thought we would give it a try. Went for lunch which was very good. The food was prepared freshly for each meal and cooked to order. They were attentive to dietary needs and as my daughter is Vegan made an extra special effort. One of the dishes was described as veggie but they made it vegan for her. The cost was good too, we will certainly be back. Only thing for us was that some of the dishes had unusual names which we had not heard of.Thank you for your positive feedback. Our restaurant team always helpful to all our Guests to accommodate their dietary needs. Our chefs take pride to come to the table to explain the dishes.We know that it is bit difficult to understand the names of our dishes, but those are the authentic names of the dishes from India. Came here for a lunchtime visit with work colleagues. On arrival, we managed to park in the small car park but another colleague was shooed away by an angry shopkeeper.Not a very inspiring sight, the restaurant over a dilapidated empty shop. You enter through a side door then up a narrow staircase.Nice clean napery but disappointed to find lunchtime express options as shown on the website not available so paid over twice what was expected.My lamb Rogan Josh was flavoursome and everyone seemed to enjoy their choices.Service efficient with plates removed as soon as finished with.Unfortunately as soon as I got home I got the tummy trots as did my colleague sitting next to me, must have been something we ate!We were the only customers in at lunchtime apart from a chap collecting a takeaway so a lot of staff hovering around whilst we ate.Wouldn't return in a hurry.
