During our stay at Clarkes (another Oberoi member) the staff there helped us book a table at Wildflowers for my wife's birthday. The moment we entered the hotel, a gentleman introducing himself as Ankush asked us how we could be helped. When we said we had a reservation, he immediately recognised, and as if by magic a bouquet of fresh flowers appeared. While we were ordering, Ankush and his team came over and presented us with a gift, apologising that they couldn't get anything elaborate as it was short notice. As if that wasn't enough, there was a lovely cake, on the house! All for two people from another hotel who had come for lunch. Non-guests. This is exemplary service where staff go above and beyond to make you feel special (perhaps Jai Mahal Palace can attempt to be half as good - we had a disappointing experience couple of months ago). Thanks a lot Ankush and team, you made a special day all the more memorable. When we later were expressing our gratitude, Ankush said that he wants every guest leaving the door to be an ambassador. Well, here are two!

Aao Ji is one place that one cannot miss while travelling from Chandigarh to Shimla. Though everything I had was delicious, but, I just loved the "Stuffed Golgappe". i have never tasted such tasted golgappe ever before.

This restaurant is at a vantage location and will not be missed by anyone travelling on the Kalka-Shimla highway. Has a reasonable parking facility too.However, for those staying at Club Mahindra and wanting to eat out, Meals To Go, which is very near, is a better option and can be covered by foot. Apna Dhaba is not easily accessible for them.

The place is just above average in actual but since it is the only place on Mall Road in Shimla which gives you the combination of food, alcohol and live singing. Price is on the higher side comparing to the service but is only worth during the evenings not in the day. Hi there, thanks for your visit to the cafe. Glad you liked it! As for the prices, we assure you that we are priced at par with other restaurants on the Mall and in fact for the kind of ambience and quality of food we deliver - we truly offer value for money. The restaurant has beautiful views overlooking Simla with panelled wood walls and wooden floor around. Breakfast is delicious with fresh lovely Indian and Continental breakfast on offer. Coffee and tea excellent and the staff very caring and professional.

The place looked good and promising. Although deserted. Skepticism crept. Food was stale and tasteless. Only rotis were fresh. Immediately left as it was awful to eat. Quite shocked. Then walked down to a small quaint place called Kailash Food Corner. Amazing food just a few steps away. Photos attached.

Chail Palace Resturant is the best in Chail. Since it is a remove hill station, getting continental and north indian food is a challange. But with Chail Palace, its a dream come true.

We visited the Palace and its restaurant & bar. We experienced great hospitality in both the places. Krishan Kaushal at the Bar and Fangu Ram at the Restaurant were in full attendance to cater to the needs. Much appreciated. We had continental dishes and it was quite sumptuous both in quantity and quality.

We visited the place after a long day which included trips to Kali ka tibba and cricket ground.The veg thali that was offered was exceptionally tasty. They serve 4-5 veg curries (dal makhni, paneer, aloo gobhi etc), salad, raita and ghee soaked hot chapatis. It's so good that it's difficult to stop eating :)The gud (jaggery) roti dessert is amazing, so is the tea. They also have bottled water, if one prefers that.The seating is basic, and the food is served with loads of love. Can't expect more at Rs.150 per thali.

When you see this place from outside, you possibly have 2nd thoughts. However, once you enter, it is possibly the best food ever. They serve amazing, good quality and lip smacking veg food. The dessert was to die for. Rajma chawal was another great dish. They also serve food with a nice warm smile that leaves you wanting more.
