We followed the recomendation of friends. It took us ages to find Lal Khazana (almost going all the way back to Alnwick) but we persevered and was delighted that we did. Delicious, well cooked and original food beautifully presented, pleasant and friendly staff and efficient service. Will definitely be going back (and bringing some other friends along) when we are next in the area.

I'm generally not a big fan of Indian food, but Mumbai Flavors made me devotee. The food was excellent. From preparation, presentation to taste it was first class, Large menu, reasonable priced. The staff was welcoming and informative. Location is close to the castle and the center of the town. .

My wife and I ate here on Sunday 20th Oct. We arrived early and were seated immediately. The staff were attentive and helpful (which to be honest I can find annoying in restaurants as you can sometimes feel rushed). We had a poppadum and pickle started whilst enjoying a Kingfisher and looking at the menu. My wife had Veggie Zaj Jool and I had Chicken Jalfrezi. I really have to say (and this is from someone who lives near Bradford) that this absolutely ranked as one of the best curries I have ever had. I was chatting with the two gentlemen afterwards and they were very knowledgable about the cuisine and the ingredients. Vegans and Vegetarians can eat here with no worries. An absolutely fantastic end to a very rainy weekend in Alnwick! Bravo guys.

The Restaurant was clean and fresh looking and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The current owner, who is also very helpful and works within the restaurant, has only owned the restaurant since November 2018.The food was amazing. Great taste, great presentation and meals even individualised to suit personal tastes. We were served quickly and we did not have to wait very long for our starters, however at no time did we feel rushed. We were given plenty of time to enjoy our food and drinks. The price we thought was very reasonable and we were happy to leave a generous tip. Thank you for a great evening meal out.Definitely recommend a visit, we will be back on our return to Alnwick.

Visited this establishment as we all fancied an Indian meal. Good menu and the four of us all enjoyed our choice. As we were the only diners there was no ambiance. The owner /manager was amiable and service was efficient. However we had a bit of a shock when the bill arrived. The price of the individual meal on the menu seemed ok but once you add rice, naan, poppadoms and drinks the cost of eating out for 4 people shot up to £165.To be honest, we did find better and cheaper places to eat in the area.
