We came here for a Chilean take on Turkish kebabs and we're not disappointed! The pitas were huge and stuffed full of meat and veges. Also the manjar stuffed churros are delicious! A great meal for a great price. We highly recommend this place!

On a gravel street, this four table vegetarian place with gluten free and sugar free options seems really a labor of love with Hindu and generally Indian motifs. We went late in the evening, but they were happy to serve us. The cook came out of the kitchen to help our waiter speak English to us. The dal was unusual, but good. The falafel, too, was different and tasty. The Thai curry stir fry didn't have much curry flavor, but a little heat in the spicing. They were out of several things, so that limited our choices. It feels like they are really trying to run a good place. I support them!

Firstly, ignore the address and map location (which happen to be both different) as we spent one hour looking for it in both places and couldn't find it.Simply walk the the lake front and when facing the lake walk North (left) along the large until the end of the walkway where you'll find it. It is apparently located there all summer but then changes location during the rest of the year (?!)We ordered one normal shawarma wrap (3,500 pesos), and one shawarma delux (4,000 pesos). Both were delicious and portions offered good value for money. Worth the walk!

We were treated like famous guests. The team was willing to go over the menu completely as well as modify the selections if we desired. The food was outstanding with very fresh ingredients and the knowledge of our servers the same. They were friendly and very polite. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Together with my family and friends have tried this place several times, the quality of the food, the portions, the quality of the ingredients, the service and the staff, is just from another planet, insanely good. Very friendly owners. The last experience I had, is when they booked me a San Valentineâs lunch for my GF, everything was perfect, nice and complete break-fast, fresh fruit, home-made juice, huevos de campo. You really need to understand that Puerto Varas is full wit over-price-bad-service restaurants that have been there for many years and with time, their service and quality have decreased, and prices have increased like crazy. Definitely not the case with El Origen Restaurant, they keep this Cousy â homemade environment, all super clean, very nice food and very good value of your money for the food and service you get. If you go to Puerto Varas downtown, you must stop by this place, you wonât regret it and you will have a very good and unforgettable experience,

We had the hake with Chilean bean salad and pistachio crusted salmon with prawn risotto, we also had the ceviche appetizer all of which were delicious. We had an amazing view of the volcano. Great service and sitting outside is really nice in the summer

We dropped into this cute little bar while walking around the city as it was near our bnb. Planned to order drinks only, but did get some bao. The pisco sour here was hands down one of the best we had in Chile. The bao was definitely a departure from other bar offerings and we enjoyed the baos we shared, beef, vegetable, and pork. I liked the small, friendly setting.
