Interesting place-if you're looking for quiet-there's really only one spot-an odd enclosed room in the front of the restaurant. That was our choice so we could hear ourselves talk. We three had quite a tasting from the menu. Sister had margarita on the rocks-I had a blackberry frozen margarita. Both excellent. We ordered several small plates-artichoke fritters with lemon aioli, corned beef tacos, 3 dips with chips and polenta with mushrooms and marinara. The fritters were great-although fried were light and fresh. The tacos had tender corned beef, but needed more slaw to provide much needed moisture. The three dips-a salsa verde with avocado (need more avocado), roasted tomato and pimento cheese were all acceptable. The polenta was good-but we would have preferred it crispy rather than baked. Hubby had ribs and fried chicken with waffle fries for an entree. All were good, but a cup of slaw would be a nice addition. Sister and I each had chimichurri chicken. Both lovers of that sauce-this was not edible. It had a bitter taste to it which overan everything on the plate. The server removed them both after our comments and we shared another order of the chicken and ribs. I'd return (if in the area) and have a couple of small plates-but doubt I'd go down the hill from Auburn just to eat here. There's too many options with a higher success rate than we experienced.Looks like you enjoyed most everything, we look forward to seeing you when you are in the area.

The other restaurants in the immediate Birdcage area are chains, not very good ones (think fast casual), so when we saw an Armenian place was open, I was THRILLED. There is another nearby Armenian place which was good, but what got my attention immediately was the number of types of desserts. Yup, I'm starting there, because I knew I would not have room for dessert and would take some home to 'share' with my husband (I'm not sharing next time). I brought home baklava, gata (a thick cookie), chocolate cake, and honey cake. I missed the golden walnut cake (next time, and there will be a next time). The honey cake is my favorite, but I barely had room after sharing a potato piroshki, cheese borek (phyllo stuffed with cheese), and consuming an entire platter of grilled chicken thigh, salad, rice and a starter of pita bread with hummus. My friend had the chicken kebab and brought home the same dessert array. The owner was so nice. we ended up staying until 8pm by mistake and he generously told us to stay while he cleared up. The young lady who took our order was so sweet and patient. I definitely will come back again and again. There are wraps, platters, apps, so many options!

We drove by this place and spotted the word "Pizza" so decided to check it out for lunch. They offer full pizzas and calzones along with burgers, salads and sandwiches, They also sell pizza by the slice, which they warned us were very large slices, so we gave it a try. When they say these slices are big, they aren't kidding. A slice here is bigger than a typical personal pizza. They have to cut the slice into 4 pieces to make it manageable. We had a slice of the combo and meat lovers. Both were excellent. Thin crust, lots of toppings at a very reasonable price. They've only been open for a couple of months, but are doing great business. Decor is simple. Service was friendly and quick. The 2 massive slices, and a couple of sodas were plenty to fill us up. They also do delivery. Definitely worth the stop.
