This is a restaurant that tries to be too many things at once: a gourmet restaurant, a pizzeria, a grill and a burger restaurant! One wishes they would just pick one thing and stick with it. The drawback of such an extensive and varied menu is that food doesn't come to the table at the same time. Our table ordered a mix of the gourmet menu and the pizza and food delivery was out of synch: strangely, the pizza took longer to prepare than the rest.Having said that, the food is good, in fact it's very good. I had the highly recommended gourmet menu, which it includes an extraordinary aubergine parmigiana starter: it comes with parmesan cheese served warm, crispy and as ice cream. People familiar with Gordon Ramsey's permesan ice-cream will know that it's one of the most delicious things you'll ever try. Miss it at your own peril.The "carbonara al cucchiaio" is simply a creamier, premium version of your homemade carbonara. Utterly delicious.The mixed grill is not to be missed: beef tagliata, lamb chops and abruzzese style lamb skewer. They were delicious and cooked to perfection.And don't forget the amazing pizzas, made from starter yeast and naturally leavened for a minimum of 48 hours. They are made of the softest, and lightest dough you'll ever try. The dessert were also extremely good. Our table ordered a selection and they were all amazing. My favourite was definitely the pistacchio semifreddo. A note for those of us who live in a big city: the service is good but slow at times. Learn to slow down and enjoy your food as nobody here is asking you to vacate your table after two hours. Buon appetito!

Le Corti di Villarasca is a nice restaurant in the countryside 20 mins south of Milan. It's not an Agriturismo (restaurant within a farm using local produce) but it is in a typical renovated old court-house building surrounded by fields. The renovation is excellent, elegant but also relaxed. The service is absolutely brillant. The food is quite good as well, and the desserts are particularly delicious. It is suitable both for couples, family, large groups and also business.

I've been here several times and I was always amazed by the meat quality of this place. Compared to the first time I've been here the size of burgers seems resized, but it still worth to eat. Remember this is not commercial burgers and you can compose yours favorite with as many layers your stomach can handle and with the favorite topping. This evening nachos which is a great starters and Boston burger with wild board, Alice sottoterra beer and baked potatoes.
