I like this area. The restaurant seemed pretty good. We had a preset menu and I chose the duck breast. It was very good but served with no accompaniment. I think that most of the dishes were good. I would try the restaurant again.

This is not a diner with yellow mustard and pickles... but for a burger with fantastic local flavor, check out Bougnat Burgers! The burgers are well-made, large and tasty flavor combos. The single-patty burgers are more than enough and appropriately priced. A highlight of the meal was the St Nectaire hot cheese dipping sauce for the fries. I'll be back next time I'm in Clermont-Ferrand! Consider a reservation at dinnertime.

If you want to have a proper local meal enjoying local atmosphere do not look for a high rated restaurant on this site, my experience teaches me. The locals who are regulars in their favourite places hardly share it. We found that place by chance. We were on Friday and decided to come back on Saturday and made a reservation immediately. The food was plain but qualitative, nice wine. The service was very friendly, the weather was warm and we dined in the small courtyard. Two great evenings.

We were staying in the hotel next door so there was always a good chance they would get our business. We wearily sat down with our kids after a day of driving. They took so long to even bring the menu that I got up and brought myself a bottle of water, then I heard the waiters joking to themselves about how I must have thought it was self service. Perhaps they didn't think I understood, they still didn't bring us the menu for a while. The food was pretty good when it came, My wife and I had a steak, my son picked over their kids burger. Not the most amazing examples we'd tasted, but certainly not the worst either.Again when we asked for the bill it seemed like they took an age to come. The children quickly grew impatient but the staff didn't get it.What a shame about the shoddy service. I would probably avoid this place in future if returning to the hotel next door. There are lots of other restaurants around, some we have eaten in, and none so rude!
