We have now eaten here twice within a week and rate it highly. Last night we chose the fish platter for 2 meal which was excellent. The owners and staff are very hospitable, welcoming us back as old friends. The fish here is particularly good, much coming from the family fishing boat. The location is delightful, looking out over the harbour and open sea. Eating dinner here as the sun sets is very special.

Visited here one afternoon after taking little train from our Hotel into Panormo. Found the food and drink to be very nice and fresh, both our children enjoyed there food so a win all round.Prices were quite reasonable and the service was good as well.

One of our all time faves...always good, great staff, relaxed, popular with locals. Oh, and a fabulous view too. Great pricing, open for lunch, drinks, dinner.they also do take-outs, so the nights when I was 'cooking' in our villa it was a go-to.Thank you to the Agkyra for all our many years of great eating and some special memories.

Parasiris is located in a small town called Panormo between Heraklion and Rethymno. It is decorated with hanging and climbing plants, and all sorts of other stuf hanging from the overhead arbor or ceiling. We selected this restaurant because its menu looked a little different than the standard. The menu had lots of different salads which we had not seen in any other restaurants. We had stuffed grape leaves, grilled octopus, and âPandora Saladâ, which was delicious and totally different from standard Greek salad. The portions were generous and the service was fast and friendly.

Ist time here. Clientele seemed to be from nearby apartments. Several families with young children, they seemed to be well cared for.The house wine was not the best! the food reasonable but not outstanding. We felt it lacked atmosphere and didn't return. OK but not outstanding and quite away from the harbour area.

Another fantastic authentic little taverna in the gorgeous little village of Panormos. Up a little side street just off the main street George and Georgia's has a lovely setting on the street with tables under a lovely large tree. Georgia is such a great friendly host and George is a fantastic chef. The specials change daily and we visited three times and every thing we tried was so authentic and so delicious. The atmosphere is so relaxing which compliments the great service and food.Just fantastic and we will definitely return the next time we stay in Panormos.

Never have i been shown around the kitchen and fridges to choose my food! This was the menu-wow Meatballs, steaks, stifado bubbling away, stuffed mushrooms cooking in the oven with stuffed peppers, kebabs ready to be barbequed-amazing! you were just asked what you would like - bread and oil, tapenade etc was brought to the table along with lovely wine, then the starters all served by husband and wife who did all the cooking etc arrived ,followed by our kebabs, steak and stifado all beautiful and more fresh baked bread on the side! after that the biggest tasiest bunch of grapes appeared along with smiles and grest service, lovely place to eat in a rustic setting-made our holiday, can definately recommend.

Had a delicious fruit juice combination in this cafe/restaurant as well as a tuna salad which was good. Limited food menu but lots of cocktails as well as food juices on the drinks menu. Staff were friendly and it is a great location

We stayed in Panormos for a week and visited here 3 times for dinner! The food was just outstanding, in particular the meatballs and the pork with honey. The aubergine dish, iman, was also just incredible. Traditional, family run restaurant with outstanding service. The house red wine is the best we had. We were in Panormos at the end of the season but every night the restaurant was full and turning people away. We've travelled extensively in Greece as this is one of the best tavernas was have ever eaten in.Thank you very much for your review and kind words!!!!It was a pleasure to meeting you. It's so important to see our customers happy and satisfied. My friends and I were in Panormos for a week and was encouraged to eat at the Kastro. We had our first dinner at Kastro and it was fantastic. We continued to try different places for the remainder fo the week, but nothing compared to Kastro -- both in terms of food and service. It is authentic Cretan food. The staff had fun with us, too, which was a bonus. Definitely check it out.
