It's hard to classify Almani. Some time, long in the past, it must have been a Greek restaurant. But the food has definitely evolved into mostly Germanic. So don't go expecting Greek, because you'll then you'd be disappointed. Go expecting something good, something decidedly sui generis, and you'll be quite pleased.You order the main course, and drink, and they take it from there. The salad -- very much a German interpretation of a Greek salad -- comes with 7 or 8 small plates, some more Greekish (taramasalata, spanakopita), some more Germanic (sweet pickle slices in a sauce), all somewhere in between. Then the main dishes, with in our case a large side of potatoes au gratin. Way too much food, but what else is new these days?We had no room for desserts, so no advice there. But a very enjoyable experience, one we will definitely be coming back for.

Good food, attentive service. Have been here several times and I am waiting to return. Ordered gyros special, love the metaxa sauce. This time it was salty , still acceptable but salty. Good range of wines are offered. Would recommend to place a reservation during rush hour.

Went for a family dinner there and enjoyed an excellent meal with good portions, tasty Greek food, attentive personal.Have been there already for a brunch buffet, a birthday garden party and a family celebration with buffet - everytime we were absolutely satisfied with food, service and atmosphere

This restaurant is an affordable, friendly restaurant where the owner Stelios and his wife serve a wide variety of Greek inspired meals. The owners and staff typically interact with the patrons giving each a complimentary shot of OUZO! Be careful, as the owner's wife may grab you and make you dance when they have Greek music playing.

Visited over the weekend as part of a large group. As we were a large party we had pre-ordered the food several days in advance, however the service was incredibly slow (we arrived at around 19:00 and main courses weren't served until around 21:00!) and several of the meals were either wrong or forgotten entirely (one lady had to wait around half an hour after the other meals had been brought out for her meal to arrive). Had we not pre-ordered then I would have expected it to take a long time to prepare and serve our meals, but for an order that is known well in advance I would expect much better service, The food (when it did arrive) was average, the portion sizes were good but I think I would have enjoyed my meal more if it had arrived about an hour before it did! Food and wine prices were average and we did receive a complimentary shot of ouzo at the end of the meal. Overall, I won't be rushing back to Syrtaki and definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant for large groups.
