Last minute decision.Arrived and was seated straight away.Plenty of empty tables but filled up quickly with party's arriving.A good selection on the menu and a 2 course special also upto 6pm.We ordered lamb and chicken kebabs so we could try both.Served with rice chips and a side garnish.Meat was succulent and tasty.Would return but on an empty stomach

This is a fantastic little family run restaurant, we dropped in ad-hoc on a busy Saturday evening and they managed to work around us, the service could not be faulted.Now for the serious business of food, this is authentic traditional Greek food at its best, we tried both seafood and grilled meat, and they have left our mouths watering ever since, so now we simply have to return for more.Give this a try ...... it is small and you need to look for it as itâs not located centrally, it is also very popular so I would advise booking. If you want an authentic Greek experience, pick up the phone and book then make the journey as I doubt youâll be disappointed.

Bacchus Taverna is a modest looking little place on a busy Liverpool street near the cruise ship dock, but it's a gem. The inside is tidy and welcoming and our waiter was very kind and helpful. We had Kleftiko (slow roasted lamb shoulder) and Keftedia (lamb & pork meatballs in a fragrant tomato sauce). Our main dishes were accompanied by green beans with tomato & onion, rice lightly dressed with tomato sauce & roasted potatoes. We shared a plate of Saganaki for our appetizer. The lamb shoulder was fork tender, the 6 meatballs were handmade & tasty. All the food was spiced perfectly & our waiter took wonderful care of us! Definitely a placed we'd enjoy returning to.
