We had dinner in Johanssens on a windy September evening.The overall setup of the restaurant made us feel warm at once.Meat and fish dishes were typically German and all those we had were tasty and very good.Service was efficient and friendly.Thanks a lot for your review!

After long day of walking around Lubeck downtown we needed some food before driving to ferry. Surprised to see that few restaurants were open around Travemunde.Location on old ship was nice. Service OK. We were happy with our putensteak and schnitzel.Prices weren't that bad and drinks reliable German quality.

This is the second type my wife and I have been to this restaurant on different occasions and the fish is always of an excellent quality and freshness.Their Turbot (Steinbutt), when available, is completely outstanding. Not only it is absolutely fresh but it is always prepared correctly with the skin crispy and golden brown with the flesh juicy but properly done. My wife's family ate other fish plates and at the end we were all completely pleased.The service is always great and the beer is always cold as it should be.Highly recommended.

No better place to have a restaurant, right on the promedane of Travemünde overlooking the water and with tables as far ahead as possible - that's a good start!The menu is not as comprehensive as one'd expect in terms of food, that's already somewhat frustrating. Nevertheless, the food is just great, I myself didn't really expect a hamburger there to be so good!Service is rather slow, especially when the house is full, but one is so distracted with the gorgeous view that it becomes irrelevant!

We had a family lunch at Strandküche and it was exceptional, we had appetizers and main courses, the food had a special touch, very friendly personal, the food was delicious, location is direct beachfront, but we had a place in the winter garden, it was perfect for us and the kid (18 months)

I stayed 5 days with my family in Travemunde and we tested some local restaurants .We enjoyed having dinner in an old medieval bulding from the 15 th century ,where was the local police until 2002 .The cafe Fisch und Meer Restaurant was a good option ,we stayed here twice ,one evening inside and one evening outside at the terrace .They serve hot meals ,local fish from the Baltic sea, and a large selection of drinks ...prices are mid -ranged .I liked the maritime atmosphere and the decoration inside the restaurant ,the waiters were very friendly

Enjoyed very friendly service, fresh local fish and Labskaus, plus fish and chips for our kid. Dining outside on the swimming terrace is fun,too, as long as you don't mind the occasional movement. Excellent spot for watching ships passing by in a quiet environment. Note the restaurant can neither be seen nor directly accessed from the nearby "Auf dem Baggersand" street, only from "Fischereihafen" (fish harbor) footpath.

We had Dorschfilet and Patato with shrimps and sourcream. It was okay but not the quality the almost best restaurant of Travemünde should have. (2 of 34).The fishfilet was in many small pieces and the shrimppatatoe too greasy. The personnel was okay and friendly. Nice view on the harbour from the quay.

After reading the last trip advisor reviews we wanted to try this tiny restaurant near the big hotel we were staying at. We were very pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff especially since we speak very little German. The wiener schnitzel was very good, large portions of fries. A small outdoor cafe was a pleasure, very simple decor.
