Stopped in this wonderfull little town in Franken for a break and to have lunch.When we found Torbach, we were happy to experience a very nice athmosphere as well as an excellent food and wine selection.The restaurant was very authentic and you could easily imagine turning your clock back a century.So try it if you're in this area.

Waren von der A3 abgefahren um was zu essen.Das Ambiente ist eher schlicht. Wir sassen draussen auf dem Parkplatz.Die Speisekarte übersichtlich aber variabel auch mit vegetarischen Gerichten.Die Bratwurst leider keine fränkische.Das Schnitzel mit keiner leckeren Panade.RoteGrütze mit zu viel Stärke.Die Weine für meinen Geschmack zu süss."Eventgastronomie" läÃt mehr erwarten.Trotzdem alle mal besser als eine Autobanhraststätte.

Saw this Gasthaus recommended in a wine book, so took the detour. I was definetely worth it. I arrived on a sunday for lunch and had to share a big table as it was almost full of locals having their sunday lunch. Looked like most of them had the fish. I was not super hungry so had a local soup and a local sausage with sauerkrat and then one of the local wines and everything was phenomenal. Would have like to try to go all in but must be next time I'm in the area.

Rustical flair, polished white wood tables without cloth, very well decorated rooms in charming country style. Service informal and effective. Excellent regional food. I had a very tender and tasty ox cheeks, with fried dumplings and broccoli. Good Franconian house wine and very reasonable prices. Make sure to make a reservation! the place is well visited.

This was a stupendous meal made from local seasonal ingredients (the venison was felled by the local count in his private woods!). They were also very accommodating to ensure we had a room directly over the dining room so the baby monitor worked. I would stay here again when next in Wiesenthid

Das Essen ist wirklich hervorragend, man kann fast die ganze Speisekarte rauf und runter essen (das gilt auch für die Nachspeise). Das Ambiente, selbst im Nebenzimmer, ist sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich. Nur der Service ist etwas barsch, unpersönlich und nicht wirklich freundlich - nur wird man das so selber nicht empfinden.Schade eigentlich, denn dann wäre es wirklich hervorragend.

Wir haben hier ein Abendessen eingenommen, an einem der letzten Tische. Die Bedienung hat uns eingangs darauf aufmerksam gemacht, das wir mit einer Wartezeit für das Essen von ca. 1h warten mussten - TOP - haben wir dann gerne gemacht. Die einzige Bedienung war wirklich aufmerksam, freundlich und schnell. Zunächst hatte ich frischen Spargel aus der Speisekarte bestellt - der dann nach Rückmeldung aus der Küche aus war. Alternativ hatte ich somit einen Salat bestellt - sehr lecker und tatsächlich extra noch mit dem letzten Spargel angerichtet. Es gab eine gute Weinempfehlung mit TOP-Service.Wir hatten uns explizit für dieses freundliche und aufmerksamen Service bedankt. Wer also fränkische Küche mag... Gerne wieder - empfehlenswert.

Four of us ate there recently. As it was a bit chilly, we elected to eat inside instead of the very attractive garden. The interior was well appointed in the Gasthaus style, although it did not appear to have been remodeled in the past several decades. The menu was replete with regional dishes. The wine list was a less than distinguished selection of local wines, but at very reasonable prices. Alas, as we tasted several, their quality matched their low prices.The four of us ordered three different dishes and then we shared tastes. All dishes were appealing to the eye and the portions were satisfying to the typical gourmand. Prices were a bit higher than normal, but we all felt they were in line with the quality. There ware some small irritants with the side dishes, but the main courses shined. For example, I did not expect to have refried Spatzle with the outstanding pork Lende.Not all of us had room for dessert, but those who did, were enthusiastic about the quality and appearance.Service was proper and efficient. Our total bill, including tip came to 95â¬. You can certainly eat for less in the Prichenstadt area, but you will not eat better than at Zur Krone.Be advised that the restaurant is not in the town of Prichsenstadt, but in the neighboring village of Brünnau. We have eaten at the restaurant here many time now and the food is always very good. The local wine from the village and from Zum Storch's own Cellar and Vineyards are outstanding. Staff are always friendly and helpful. The menu normally has a number of local dishes and often includes a few Mediterranean type foods.
