wieder einmal haben wir Im Restaurant Alte Backstube in Kühlungsborn sehr gut zu Abend gegessen, die Speisen waren sehr gut und sehr reichhaltig, die Bratkartoffeln sind 1A, der Service war sehr freundlich, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder, es empfiehlt sich, vorher unbedingt einen Tisch zu reservieren

Great service done by very nice people. Nice surprise to discover this restaurant by the promenade , with seaview, which first looks like a tourist trap. My wife and I had the bratherring and the duo of fish which was divine. We had a nice table by the window. We will go back there as we often travel to Kühlungsborn, one of the nicest resort on the baltic sea.

Wir sind die letzten Tage zu zweit, zu dritt und zu viert zu unterschiedlichen Tageszeiten dort gewesen. Tolle Atmosphäre, ansprechendes Essen, schöne Drinks!Einzig die etwas âsprödeâ Laune der âGastgeberâ passt nicht so ganz zum Chill-Faktor! Das könnt ihr sicher besser!

We found this restaurant via Tripadvisor and we have eaten wonderful steemed fish with vegetables. Very delicious with normal prices.The portions were big enough and very healthy 'smeemed fish 'was fantastic.Very nice service as well.Das Restaurant ist sehr gut ,mit normallen Preisen und einer netten Atmosphäre.Es ist nur zu empfehlen.

Although I have full board at my hotel, after several weeks, one likes to explore. So, we went to this nice little beer house. The food was typical German...and I liked it. I put this on my "to-try" list after checking TripAdvisor online before the trip. Interestingly, having talked to the friendly hotel staff in Kuehlungsborn, I was recommended to dine in this place. So of course I didn't miss it!The interior is nicely decorated with the seamen articles and traditional German furnitures and ornaments, which makes it very unique with the authentic german feel. I ordered a small portion of fried hering with potatoes for the dinner, but it wasn't that small and the meal is surprisingly tasty!Definitely worth a visit!!!

The "Currywurst De Luxe" was ok, but not spectacular as almost cold and the french fries not crispy at all. Nice location with a view, but long lines so expect to wait and staff of this self service restaurant has an opportunity to work on their friendliness and customer orientation. This place may be good. What is for sure is that they open or stay closed when they feel like it. When we first checked it out, on a lunchtime, it was closed. A schedule of sorts was available on a card, which informed us that it would be open on Wed and Thurs evening but not Friday or Sat. Which seemed odd but we resolved to try it on Thursday. Around 4.00 tried calling them to reserve. No answer. Website? No website. What to do? Too far to walk, had to drive down there to make a reservation. Got there and the card was gone to be replaced by a message in the blackboard that the restaurant would next be open the following Tuesday. A man was busy loading fish into a black Land Rover. He might have been the owner, but he looked right through me without saying a word. So I thought, sod him too. Wasted an hour and a euro on parking for that. So it might be good. Just don't go there unless you have 100% evidence that they are open and willing to give you a table.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort. Unsere Tischreservierung Wochen im Voraus hat leider nicht geklappt, so das wir einen Not Tisch an der Rezeption bekommen haben. Wir hatten Zander auf Bratkartoffeln und Salat. Der Zander war gut gebraten, die Bratkartoffeln hatten rohe Zwiebeln und waren nicht kross. Der Salat lag leider mit auf dem Teller. Konnte uns alles nicht überzeugen da auch nicht gut gewürzt.
